Anything with usb ports, complete control over your hardware/software, multitasking, expandable storage, removable battery, 16:9 aspect ratio, a camera, some sort of HD video output, flash, and a normal sim card is a potential iPad killer, and none of those are particularly difficult.

Seriously WTF. I can't believe some people are impressed with it. The only thing great about it is the touch screen. In fact I like the concept of the iPad as a touchscreen tablet PC. But should've been Mac OS, not iPhone OS. Its surely better than the Kindle though. The latter doesn't even have a touchscreen.

The Kindle does have colour. Its around $450. Just $50 less than the iPad. Its designed specifically for those who read a lot.

Apple just posted up its third quarter earnings -- its first full quarter selling the iPad -- and, well, it's raining cash in Cupertino. The company posted a record profit of $3.25b on record revenues of $15.7b.

Apple sold 3.27 million iPads, nearly matching the 3.47 million Macs sold -- and Mac sales were up 33 percent from a year ago to set a new quarterly record.

As far as I'm concerned, this still applies.

Out of 6 billion people I don't find it hard to believe that 5% of that population is retarded. I'm sure parachute pants sold even more than that. Doesn't make them a good idea.

I'd love for you to tell me why it's a good idea, though. I've given it a test and it just looks like an iPhone too big for it to be a carry-on appliance, or a laptop in iPhone format, which is basically a ****ty laptop in my book.

This turned out to be a success afterall... Can't believe even Android and Blackberry are producing their own version. Never thought it would go that far.
