Eto'o's being rumored out, Sneijder as well and with Leonardo most likely heading to Paris, Inter could be entering the same stage as the club experienced in the 90s if they don't get decent replacements. This is not looking good.

Experience isn't the main problem. How much experience Pep, Villas-boas and Mourinho had when they bring Barça and Porto to the glory?

The Von Trapps
despite how much I love Samuel Eto'o, it wouldn't be right ...

apart from Cruyff's teams, my greatest vested interests lie with Zlatan and Mourinho, who have long since left ...

my parting gift for SG Interistas was the 'Treble Trophies' title banner for this thread's first post, to commemorate the achievements of José ...

on the news front:

so many footie sites are running the André Villas-Boas story ... but it ignores the fact that Moratti explicitly said today/yesterday that he wouldn't be going after contracted coaches yet ... I'd personally like to see Gasperini's attacking philosophy given a shot at the highest level, but he falls into the same category too (for the time being) ...

Carlo Ancelotti would, and probably should, be top of the uncontracted targets list ... Moratti may have denied the link (a story about him working his way through Milan's former managers wouldn't have looked good), but it'd be so typical of him to be hatching a strategy to convince Carletto to renege on his sabbatical, and take the reins at the rivals of his formerly beloved diavoli ...

Moratti hiring Louis van Gaal would be hilarious! (H) it's guaranteed to end badly ...

I think a dark horse candidate could be Marcello Lippi ... he's been talking about wanting to get back into managing again ... I know he tried to link himself to the Chelsea opportunity not too long ago, but I don't see that happening ... yeah, his relationship with Moratti isn't great at all, but I'm sure he'd take a second stab at managing Inter if that's his main option, and if he really wants to get back into top flight management ...

Moratti looks like a ghoulish creature because he sold his soul for wads of cash; he'd be willing to dangle a huge wage packet to bait and seal any possible target ...

Van Gaal would be great for 1 year. He'd bring along all these massive talents that don't see much of the field. Santon, Destro, Coutinho.

But yeah, then they'd have to get out after that 1 year.

Theres a defender too, Criseteg. Huge potential, but who can tell.

edit: I honestly think the Ballotelli era screwed with Santon`s head. He initially made it to the main team by determination and consistency, something he lost as he got consistent playing time. Afterwards he sustained a lengthy injury.
