I don't know... They've knocked us out before and they might as well do it again. I'd love for us to meet Tottenham again.

You have virtually no chance in Germany.

I highly doubt that you'll get through after having conceded so many away goals.

What happened, Inter? Huh?

First you lose to the world's biggest cheaters by 3 goals........and then you lose, at home, to a club struggling in its domestic league? What the hell!

You just made it so much easier for ManPoo/Chelski to waltz into the final.

Better get out your pillows because you will not be going to the Theatre of Dreams.

^^^^ AC Milan is the club I was referring to*. Caught match fixing and allowed to compete in (eventually winning) the CL after a 1 season penalty? uh...?

* don't tell me you support Barcelona AND Miiiiilan!!!

hah, yeah, I know you meant Milan; I was wondering how they became the "biggest" cheaters, when Juve were the team most punished by Calciopoli ... was hoping you had another of your usual, erm, 'unique' perspectives to offer on the matter ...

We'd probably be back to the status quo by now, but I wish the original penalties under Calciopoli had stuck.

no one actually fixed matches, because that would need some level of player involvement ... the whole thing had to do with influencing the appointment of match officials (refs); ironically, in quite a few matches, decisions and results did not go in favour of the guilty teams ... the act of influence was nevertheless a crime, and was thus punished ...

the penalties weren't "changed" ... the initial penalties were not the final penalties, because the process requires the harshest punishment to be decreed first, an appeal to be then heard, and a final decision to lastly be doled out ...

and the penalties were a joke? Milan should have been relegated? what justice system are you basing this on?

and how do you assume that status quo would have been restored? Juve were consecutive league champions in 2006 ... now, after being relegated, they're struggling to consistently get to the Champions League spots, and can't afford to bring in star players even if those players desperately want to join them (e.g. Džeko) ... Milan weren't relegated, but they haven't been able to sign any big names till this season; and actually, they've only done so because Galliani has suddenly become the master of the discount and free aisles ...

Juventus were relegated. To be fair, Milan should have been:
1. relegated to Serie B
2. banned from European competition for atleast 3 seasons

Let's call a spade a spade ok! You can't try to justify levels of match fixing, which by the way IS the same as appointing the appropriate official to, you know, HELP YOU WIN,.....at the end of the day, it's MATCH FIXING!!!

And AS Roma deserve to be the 2003-2004 Serie A Champions. Milan should have been stripped of that title and the runners up(Roma) should have been awarded the trophy. If you ask me, Milan deserves the same treatment with regards to their 2007 CL title.

They will, in my mind, forever be considered the cheaters that were declared the best team in Europe in 2007. Just think that over for a second okay......in 2006 they are found GUILTY of match-fixing and in 2007 they are allowed to compete in the most prestigious club tournament in the world. FAIR PLAY? HA! Yeah right.

The only thing that was done correctly was awarding Inter all those Serie A titles.

The Italian World Cup win overshadowed this whole fiasco and, somehow, it all got swept under a rug very quickly. A damn shame!

maybe for you, but certainly not for anyone else, not least in Italy ... it showed that the players were never the problem; the background politicians were ...

well, since those are rules in the La-La Land you call your mind, it must be so in real life ...

as a Liverpool fan, whose team was allowed into the 2005/06 competition by not only a bullsh!t modification of the qualifying rules, but a bullsh!t modification of the rules that was enforced past the deadline date for such changes, I don't think you have any room to talk about a team playing in a competition that they shouldn't be playing in ...

and anyway, if Milan qualified despite the points deductions, and they then won the Champions League fairly, one can only conclude that you are pathetically looking for an excuse to somehow insult the team that beat your's ...

if one can grade levels of murder, one can grade levels of match fixing ...

it's not ... appointing a ref doesn't mean you necessarily appoint him to favour your side; it is plausible you want a ref who has proven to be fair, and with no bias for or against any side ...

the only way one can prove an appointment was made to favour a side is by using stats to show that the guilty teams won all the matches they were guilty of appointing refs for -- and the stats show that wasn't the case ...

but trying to influence the appointment of officials is still punishable, and they were duly punished accordingly ...

we're back in your La-la land again, with you trying to come up with some pathetic reasoning to justify your team being awarded the Champions League, despite no referee appointments being influenced in the Champions League ...

Well, this turned out to be one hell of a season for Inter. And I'm not saying that in a positive way. It all started with Benitez who I still claim, along with the injuries on the players before, as the sole reasons for us (most likely) not winning the Scudetto this season. I thought he was a mistake to get the second I saw that he was the new coach for Inter and, if even possible, those feelings are stronger today.

I think Leonardo has been given enough matches and time to prove his worth and although I really wanted him to do good, I do not think that he is the right manager for us now. It's quite obvious that he isn't a tactical genius but some consolation must be given, especially considering how poorly Chivu and Ranocchia have done and in particular the unspeakable losses against Milan and Schalke at home. I'm especially very disappointed about Ranocchia. I really thought he could be something but he has given nothing but bad performances in the spring. We still have the cup to go for but considering the team's current condition, I doubt we will win it.

And what scares me the most is not that the season has been more or less a disaster for us but that all of this could drag the club down and put us in a bad spot for the upcoming season, especially if we cannot find the right coach. Nagatomo and Kharja have been positive for us and they must be purchased but as for the coach it will be very difficult to find the right one. I wanted Spalletti to take over when Benitez got sacked and I still want him to take over now but we'll see how it goes with that.

Cristi has been broken by injury after injury, culminating in his head being cracked open (with his survival a minor miracle) ... what i mean is: he is unrecognizable from the player who did some amazing things at Ajax till 2003, and at Roma till 2004 ...

Ranocchia, on the other hand, has gone from playing at Bari, to Genoa, and then in the Champions League with Inter, over the span of just 9 months ... his progression has happened fast ... there has been limited stability during this season for him, both in terms of moving clubs, and in terms of defensive partners ... add to the mixture managers who don't know what defensive organization is, and you'll end up with an extremely talented young defender being made a bit of a scapegoat ... hopefully you guys get a manager who knows what he's doing; then we'll see his potential flourish ...

I like Spalletti, but I more and more feel that the strength of his personality, and thus his ability to handle a team full of superstar personalities (and sometimes egos), is not good enough to manage a top side ... I'll be happy if, given the chance, he proves me wrong ...

Oh and tits.
Only answer is Mourinho. He made Diego Milito a super striker and that is enough evidence how he can use his resources. But why would he go back to Inter leaving Real Madrid ??? he has the chance to rewrite history again against one the greatest teams ever produced.

Pazzo (H) ... the take for the first goal was world class!

keeps the title race alive for one more round -- just enough time for Zlatan to return and hog some crowning glory! :D

Meh, I really hope that Milan thrive of overconfidence so they f*** up the last three games. Honestly, if they really did that and Inter won the Scudetto anyway, I'd just die. (Y) Seems quite impossible but anything can happen in football, right?
