Hi guys,
Just wanted to share a few fixes that could solve your problems running the excellent FIFA 2003.
- If you have problems running the game and the screen doesn't even black out, check the following:
* The game NEEDS to be installed on the same drive of the Operating System. If you try to install it on a different drive, it won't run.
* If you still have problems running the game, install it on the default directory.
* Don't manually uninstall the game; use the uninstaller on the autorun screen. Apparently, the game won't work correctly if you uninstall it manually and then re-install it, specially if you do this on the same directory.
- If the game starts loading and then returns to the desktop...
* It's probable that your video card doesn't have enough memory or is not supported completely by FIFA 2003. Check your system specs.
* Old drivers can be game-killers. Uninstall FIFA 2003, install the latest drivers and THEN re-install.
* If you are running Windows XP, be sure to have all Windows Updates (including SP1) because a number of problems can be solved with these updates.
- If the game crashes suddenly...
* Check your sound card is compatible. Download latest drivers if necessary.
* Check that your video card isn't overheating. Try running the game on a cooled machine. Try even leaving the computer without the case and put a desk fan outside it.
I hope these solutions work for you, because you're missing the best soccer game ever.
