so i open photoshop hoping to work on a picture ok?

i try to, however whenever i hover over the "workspace" the cursor changes to the hand tool. this is pissing me off now and i cant do anything. dont know why! no paintbrush, JUST HAND!!! whats hand good for?? ahhhhhh help me now please its right on my tits :(

meh, dunno, cant think atm what might be causing this.
You can simply use alt+ctrl+shift while starting photoshop (you have to be pretty quick tho) and psp will come up with a question to delete preferences etc. So basically you're back to default psp

Your image is probably locked. You can add a new layer, and you'll be able to work on your image with no problem.
