I Played Playstation 2 Fifa World Championship

I've moved from Australia to Japan a couple of months ago and played Fifa World Championship on Playstation 2 the other day. I sat in a shop and played it for about half an hour. I'm not sure if anyone has posted anything about it on this forum yet. Here are some points that I took notice of:

EA have motion captured Hidetoshi Nakata for this game and he his player looks exactly like him in every way. They have done a great job here. The other player characteristics also look more realistic than past FIFA games.

There is a coaching bench on the sideline along with media personnel all around the ground.

Replays have opposite angles.

Sunset games can be played. Background scenery is superb.

Players are too big still for the pitch and it can be very difficult to make the perfect pass down the ground past your opposition.

Country flags are being waved in the crowd.

Stadiums look great.

3D effects really come through on the Playstation 2. Also game smoothness is great.

I'm going to be visiting the shop to play it a few more times this week. If you have any specific questions, perhaps I can answer them.

There are some screen shots and videos of the game at www.japan.ea.com

When u said sunset games can be played... does that mean that it gets dark while you are playing? Or is it just a sunset view? I think that some games should be scheduled for an evening game but while its still light out it gets dark afterwards... Why is there a time in the schedule then... Just for evening and day? I would love to see the day get dark and the lights go on

Suzume: just a couple of questions. 1) How "FAST" was the gameplay. 2) Can you score goals from "LONG RANGE" not from outside the box but from way, way outside the box. 3) do the opposing defenders still execute "CONSECUTIVE TACKLES". 4) can you kick the opposing player even if he does not have the ball. 5) what "SPECIAL MOVES" can the players make. If you say "360 spin" Various Styles will be putting his cyber foot up some bodys ass. 6) Is it true that the players get dirty from falling on the ground, if so do they get blood stains. 7) What is the avarage of goals scored per game. 8) can you descrive some of the celebrations that take place after a goal is scored. 8) If you are playing a home game and you are losing by a wide margin does the crowd get rowdie and start to Riot or do they cheer like dumbasses every time the opposing team scores. 9) How many players does each team have in toatal. 10) How many leagues does the game have and wich are they ??? (Next time you go play take a note pad, so that you can write down with explicit detail all of the games options, and then come and report all the info HERE where it will be thouroughly appreciated. THANK YOU)

the light during the sunset games remain the same. Must be a pretty long sunset huh!

game play seems to be a little slower. receiving the ball then turning around seems to take a painfully long time after playing the earlier versions of FIFA.

haven't scored from outside the box yet, but I can definitely see how you can. The keeper is exposed quite a lot in this game - he thumbles a lot more than before.

special moves are still all the same.

goal scoring seems harder. amatuer level even gives you a run for your money.

there are many of the same celebrations, but there are SOME new ones thrown in.

each squad had about 21 players i think I counted.

there were only 3 leagues in this game, a world cup tournament, an U-23 tournament, exhibition match, and training.

crowd looks very vibrant with the flags and jumping up and down, but i can't confirm if they get rowdier or not.

i think i did notice that you can bump, hit, kick an opposing player without the ball.

hope that answers some questions until next time.
