I've moved from Australia to Japan a couple of months ago and played Fifa World Championship on Playstation 2 the other day. I sat in a shop and played it for about half an hour. I'm not sure if anyone has posted anything about it on this forum yet. Here are some points that I took notice of:
EA have motion captured Hidetoshi Nakata for this game and he his player looks exactly like him in every way. They have done a great job here. The other player characteristics also look more realistic than past FIFA games.
There is a coaching bench on the sideline along with media personnel all around the ground.
Replays have opposite angles.
Sunset games can be played. Background scenery is superb.
Players are too big still for the pitch and it can be very difficult to make the perfect pass down the ground past your opposition.
Country flags are being waved in the crowd.
Stadiums look great.
3D effects really come through on the Playstation 2. Also game smoothness is great.
I'm going to be visiting the shop to play it a few more times this week. If you have any specific questions, perhaps I can answer them.
There are some screen shots and videos of the game at www.japan.ea.com
