...Niether FIFA nor CC is working. I get an error message saying that the DB cannot be opened because it is being used by another process. When I try to start FIFA, it doesn't get anywhere. The startup logo comes up....then nothing.

Please don't kill the messenger but...to guarantee you get both the game and CC2005 working again you really should uninstall everything (including raptors, patches etc) Ensure you have Microsoft NET Framework 1.1 installed on your machine. Re-boot then re-install the game from a clean slate, install CC2005 after that and (fingers crossed) it should work again.

Question: Do you make a back-up of your database files after every CC2005 editing session ? (i.e fifa.db and "your language".db)
I found this helps a lot and has saved me from having to reinstall the whole damn thing on a few occasions.

Alternatively (and this MAY not work) you can back up zdata.big files from 2 through to 13 as they have all the kits in them which may save you the hassle of loading them all back again via Kit raptor.

I have backups of every CC file after each session, but that's not happening here. Even with the original DB it still doesn't work, so it's not a question of that.

Thanks anyway, I'll give a clean install a try. :ewan:. Since it's not the DB itself that's the trouble (see above), I'll keep a copy of my current DB and put it in after i reinstall. Hopefully that'll work.
