i got the new demo working

downloaded it off the ftp server last night, and didn't extract it but instead double clicked on the Zip file and then started up the FIFA07 executable file and ran it. Loaded up fine!!

Not sure at all, probably wrong....but it seemed a tad more challenging :jap:

Anyway, seems to be working now. I have the version off of downloader working and the one off of ftp. So I can compare them, although I thought the downloader version was also new (why wouldn't it be?!)

well i also noticed EA put default game-speed on fast, so i put it onto normal speed editing the common.ini and the game plays even better now!

Everything appears to be balanced and works fine. I feel as though the new demo has the cpu try a little harder, but it might just be me. I felt more pressure on semi-pro.

For instance, they make better chances or something along these lines, they appear to be getting in more shots and goal scoring chances.

Just did the same , downloaded it , opened the zip and went to the FIFA07.exe
and nothing. Double clicked on it , screen clicked and went black and click back again ...

Had the old demo running , but problems with frame rate and screen jerking at kickouts and others ...

Well I downloaded EAs Downloader after I had unistalled the demo and everything EA on my PC ... I reinstalled the Downloader and downloaded the demo , I install the "new" demo and I still get the screen jerking at kickouts and a few times when Ive played the ball up to the forwards the screen would freeze for a split second ...


I used to play FIFA from the very start , I gave it a miss after FIFA03 and went to PES and I have played that ever since. I am no fanboy of PES or FIFA as I will play what I think is the best football game, and I am sorry to say that its not FIFA this year again!

Will I buy it , not for the PC , but as I am getting my son a Xbox360 in Nov for his birthday I might buy it for that, if I had both a 360 and a PC I might buy it myself , but it would just be for a bit of fun after playing PES ...

Is it true that the "totally free ball" is only in the Next Gen 360 game, I see the ball deflects and I think the deflections in FIFA07 and better than the defections in PES, in PES the defection will take unreal angles to shoot to the nearest CPU player 95% of deflections in PES go to the cpu players ...

I've tried to love 07 but its still not right and I don't mean the jerky screens or little freezes, I mean overall , the players running animation the way the ball rolls in fact though the ball may to totally free and as they said not part of the animation any more, it still seems to glide over the surface ...


Oh one more , EA need to fix the keepers , I pressed CALL KEEPER to bring him out to close down a cpu player running in on goal, while he seems fast enough if the cpu player your wanting closed down is Outside the box, inside the box , he moves as if in slowmotion ...
