Ok, I've decided to go for the easiest one: Ireland. Just won my first match against Cyprus with 2-0. Goals from Roy Keane and debut player Jon Macken.

I was able to hold off Poland to a 0-0 draw in Belfast, but I lost David Healy in the match, and Stuart Elliott afterwards in training. I'll have to alter my tactic completely for the away game in Cardiff against Wales. I only have 2 decent strikers left in my selection, so I'll have to change from 4-1-2-1-2 to 4-1-3-1-1 :( I do have decent wingers so it might not be all bad :S

Decided on a 5-1-2-1 instead, as I didn't trust my DMC, Jeff Whitley, to be up to the job of controlling Hartson, and I beat Wales 1-4, after going behind in just 4 mins to an Earnshaw header off a Giggs cross. (H) Ferguson beat Jason Brown with a lob ahortly after, and McVeigh capitalised on a short pass gone foul in the Welsh defense just minutes later. He got his second after 40 minutes with a tap in from close range. Baird scrambled in a fluke from a corner shortly after the break, and Wales never even tried after that. The game was pretty even in the first half, the score really doesn't reflect the game. In fact, Wales got 11 shots and we got 5 (1 on target for them, 4 for us :p), they got 6 corners and we got 3.

Scoring line:
04: Robbie Earnshaw 1-0
13: Glenn Ferguson 1-1
15: Paul McVeigh 1-2
40: Paul McVeigh 1-3
47: Chris Baird 1-4

I have England(Premiership only) and Ireland and Scotland as additional nations. Works fine and I have a quite crappy PC.

Anyway just came back from a 2-0 victory in and over Switzerland. Quite happy as Switzerland didn't get much open chances. We didn't get much chances aswell, but we made the ones that we got.
Goals from again Jon Macken and substitute Steven Reid.

Just played my third game, away @ Azerbaijan. I had my full squad available again, and played my 4-1-2-1-2. The odds were in my favour, so I chose to go a bit more attacking than I did at home vs Poland.

That paid off immediately, with a good chance after 5 minutes. The goalie's kick that followed that chance was intercepted by Mark Williams at the midfield line, and quick passes through David Healy and Steven Elliott left Paul McVeigh shooting in the 0-1 from the edge of the 16 yard area. Halfway through the 1st half Healy got free from his marker, and had a one-on-one with their keeper to make it 0-2. 15 minutes into the 2nd half Healy made it 0-3 from in between two defenders, and a very long goalkick from Roy Carroll gave him his hattrick 8 minutes later.
After 3 games we're now in second place, 2 points behind England, who are still to lose a point, and 3 points ahead of Poland.

Scoring line:
06: 0-1 Paul McVeigh
26: 0-2 David Healy
62: 0-3 David Healy
70: 0-4 David Healy

This is going way above my expectations :D

Lost my first match. N.Ireland - Austria 0-1
It was quite an even matchup, but a Roy Carroll foul after a corner for Austria gave Vastic the goal from the spot. Going all-out in the last 10 minutes did give me 3 small chances, but no goals.
Still second. Poland now also have 7 points from 4 games, but I'm 8 goals ahead. England are on 12 points, and already unlikely to be caught.

Scoring line:
34: 0-1 Ivica Vastic (PK)

just got a quick question here mainly for Ruud. I selected all of the 4 leagues of the Scotland league. Anyways i noticed that a lot of players that are Scottish are going to big teams for instance Liverpool have signed like 2 of them so far and they arnt even good :kader:

Is this happing in anyone elses game that has selected their own leagues like Ruud and I did?

The Northern Irish players are moving clubs fast as well, but mainly in the Northern Irish leagues. I'm thinking they're just too crap to be noticed :p

Just a question: The second of the group gets qualified to the WC too right? Well atleast IRL it is this way...

Anyway I'll be continueing this whenever I got time for it but now mainly my time goes to (home)work and Midtown Madness...
