This is stupidity. The more expensive vapor ones are lighter and are made of better quality material. I tried cheaper lower end mercurials and there is a world of difference between them and higher end vapor or superfly.

It is important to have comfortable boots if you play twice a week. The cheap junk that are made to just look like the high end ones are junk.

Look mate, the fact is that the boots which are manufactured nowadays are getting lighter and lighter everyday, basically. Average boot weighs around 150-180 grams, no? So it doesn't really matter that much which boots you're getting. I suppose what matters the most is how they fit you, and what kind of a player you are. Some are for better ball control etc, in the end it comes down to small details.

But truth be told, if you're buying something, go for quality and more expensive ones instead. Think realistically - they'll last longer and it's not like you're buying new ones in every 6 months. QUALITY > QUANTITY

Mercurial vapors are about 160 grams whereas Adidas Copa Mundials are 300 grams. They don't make much of a difference in that they do not alter the player you are; they just help. To me, lighter feels better. Average boot size is more like 250 grams, so 160 grams Mercurials make a big difference.

The mercurials I bought are high end - i.e. the same ones professional footballers use. Zlatan for e.g. wears the exact same model. They're expensive; close to 200 USD on sale.

Model yes, but most of the professional players have their boots altered to their choice I suppose. Different soleplates and whatnot. I remember van Persie sticking with a special brand of Adidas Predator(?) boots for years which he wore when we last won the EPL. He even had to black them out at a certain stage. Just a random example.

Yuh I guess you gotta pay around 250-300 dollars for top shelf boots nowadays. But as I said it all comes down to which kind of player you are. If you don't play too regularly then cheaper ones will do just fine.

No no no, I've been told all the time that I play like a German, and by that they mean that I keep possession instead of hoofing the ball forward all the time. I am very possession oriented. Obviously I'll try to make a more decisive pass first, but generally I play one or two touch and if there's someone marking me tight I will just play it back. As I said, at the level I play now I play like Lampard; I don't try to dribble past players unless they are clearly weak on defense and slow, I instead try to make runs into space and arrive in the box for a cross.

I wouldn't. I don't really like playing as a pivot because I can always see channels and space to make forward runs and like to exploit that ability. If everyone bombs forward without discipline and I have to stay back, I'd rather just play as a sweeper. I'm also an effective winger, and that's where I played when I was young and good, so with the hole we have in the squad I could fit in there. Played on the left for the best team I've played for.

"Play like a German?" Possession-oriented football isn't exactly renowned by them until Guardiola came along.

Basically the same fact applies to every team Guardiola's been to - Barca, Bayern (luckily they've found a new rhythm under Ancelotti) and from now on City.

I mean it's just not interesting to watch a team passing the ball around having 70+% possession.

I was pivot, i hate playing between lines because i'm very bad positioning there, i'm the one who finds the players between lines.

In football7 i play as CB too in 3-1-2/3-2-1 system.

I am not an annoying prick in real life as I am in these forums. I do this on purpose here. I don't care about Messi but he will have no choice but support Man U.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't follow football though because here people are crazy about hockey.
