I liked Ilgner as a child ... I also liked Iranian keeper Abedzadeh ... My uncle used to tell me a lot about Sepp Maier and how great he was ... there was no youtube back then to check his clips ...

Adidas X. Which version? 15.1? There is a huge difference between 15.1 and 15.3.

Arnau boots look great. Leather break in nicely but I prefer a barefoot feel.

15.3

Some nice stories here, I've read them all with a lot of pleasure. Although Xaviesta is full of shit (H)

Very little technical training (I did that on my own kicking a ball against a wall for hours)

Hahah (H)

I started playing football when some guy 4 years older than me came to my apartment when I was a kid and said he wanted to take me outside and play. I was about 11 I think at that time, and I had no idea what I'm doing. Basically most of the kids were asking their parents to sign them for football at that time so I was the weakest of all since they were having trainings and shit. That guy used to spend 5-6 hours a day with me every day in the summer and took me through every little thing, from changing 3m passes to throwing me the fucking ball so I can learn to stop it. He would stay in the goal (although he hates it) for hours just so I could learn to shoot. He was the best in the neighborhood so he took me into his team. At the beginning he didn't ask me for much, just to pass him the ball whenever he needed, quick 1-2s.

After 3 years I became the best in my class at school, although I was very fragile at the time (1,68 and very thin). My dribbling improved a lot, but my biggest quality is passing. 4 years ago, that guy moved to Bucharest and we haven't played together since then, shit, he's also getting married next summer. I play 5v5 or 6v6 (because the pitches we have in our city are small), and not bragging but everyone wants me in their team. (H)

I like to play some sort of box-to-box because I like to be involved everywhere, mainly on the left side because I like cutting inside when going forward. I've got decent speed and a good stamina. I can play as a CB too in nady's team since I'm tall and stronger now. I think I have a very bad heading (I can head balls in defence but I'm not scoring as much as I should with my height). The player I used to like a lot and copy in my childhood was Deco. Now I think I'm some sort of Pogba but more calm on the ball and without shooting from distance.

About the boots, I don't care how old the model is. I'm just looking for boots with thin and flexible sole. Now I've got this Nike Tiempos but with the "artificial turf" sole:

They were more like a panic buy since I had a match at my University and the old Mercurials got torn the night before. But I feel very comfortable in them.

If i pass to Shifty i will never see the ball again and i will have to run (H)

and if you pass to Xaviesta, he tries to dribble and will eventually will loose the ball, then you need to run again ...

I'm telling the truth (H)

I think I look a lot like Xavi, I mean that type of player.

I'm 1,76. slow and good on the ball (although I have improved a lot off the ball), not strong and I feel very comfortable as a RCM. I like my team to play with short passes and create with calm. During the summer I play much more because I have more time. Better stamina and form and sometimes I am a fucking workhorse as well.

The team on paper looks good. Always wanted to see Xavi and Pirlo play together (H) . Nady I will play a lot of through balls on you, I hope you can finish them like Neymar.

Dytza at CB is a risk, he has qualities but he might as welll turn out to be Song (at CB). We can play 3-4-3. I move to #10, Dytza Arnaj and Shifty as a destroyer behind me.

I'm a shit dribbler. (I rarely make wonders by dribbling players) always look for available players and pass the ball.

I didn't play for almost 2 years ... marriage life :-(

I used to be a very good goalkeeper ... my uncle trained me with Tennis balls ... so my reflexes were quite good ... however, I was terrible with passing ... I played as defender/holding mifielder as well ... nothing special just strength and brute force ... I hope I play sometime soon.

I read this as his uncle threw/whacked tennis balls at him

Ahh I forgot to check the first page.. Those look better indeed rather than those colourful ones that maricas like to wear. Good choice. I approve.

Tiempos are very good value for money because they are leather. If you are buying budget ones, better to buy leather Tiempos rather than cheap synthetic stiff ones which look like CR7 or Messi boots but are step down model and are made to just look like the higher end ones.

Which Tiempos are these? genio II I suppose?

The pair I use currently is this one:

They are low end Adidas Ace and they're pretty bad if you play twice a week. They are completely different from what players wear even though they look the same.

I ordered the mercurials and can't wait for them to come.

Hmm...

Anyway... Those fucking mercurial vapor ones or the Adidas ones which look similar are basically for showing off if you have no practical use for them.

EDIT: Anyway when it comes to colour and what looks the best, those are my fave: https://www.footy-boots.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/mercurial-vapor-iv-citron.gif

I think those date back to like 2009.

Az.. By that description you'd be like a striker who never scores indeed.

Sooo... Perhaps being a mascot for the team would be a better idea? Or a manager.

Heskey lol. Truth be told you can joke about the guy all you want, but in reality the dude at his prime (it's upon the person how he perceives it) wasn't that bad.

It really depends on what you are looking for. To me, light is more comfortable than heavier, more padded boots. I prefer a barefoot or minimalist feel when playing.

I tried them all and the mercurials were the most comfortable.
