How to take proper free kicks?

Can anyone explain to me how to take proper free kicks? Some players seem to take it with the inside of the boot and some weird follow through (Beckham), while others just run up to it straight. I like running up to it straight and experience success this way, but what's the proper way of doing it? This way doesn't allow much curve...sometimes I curve it the wrong way actually :crazyboy:

You will find it very hard to get over walls if u just blast it straight like Seedorf does. But this way you get full power and good accuracy too.

Beckham's way gets over the wall but I think ur kick will be much weaker, and u can easily lift it over the bar.

You also forgot crucial steps such as
1) Make sure you breath
2) Make sure to run
3) Make sure to kick
4) Make sure you have a ball to kick

well...i thnk you just gotta have talent...but i just know if you want a high shot lean back when you shoot...low shot lean foward....power shot use the laces on your boot...curve shot use the side of your boot

I usually take them with the inside of my boot and some curl/power so they aren't too weak. Obviously, you should aim for the corners and of course, PRACTISE!

just take a ball and practice. try to set target and hit it. take 20 or 30 shot. then calculate how many hit the target. emm...hard to tell, just practice, then you will learn

if you want a curling shot, make sure your shot not slow and weak. if a straight powerful shot, just aim and wrack it

i hit the ball w/ the side of my foot, kinda just below my big toe. strike it at the bottom corner, i find that gets it up and down pretty quick, and puts loadsa curve on it too.

it really depends on the person tho, my friend hits it straight and hard and still gets curve on it, just practice and find out the best way 4 u.

When im takin one a little far from the box i like to lean back, make it go over the bar and make it drop right in back of the keeper and into the gol.
