How to Not Select a Side and Just Watch the Gane in Tournament and Career Mode?

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW ONE CAN JUST WATCH A GAME IN CAREER AND TOURNAMENT MODE WITHOUT SELECTING A SIDE (NOT POSSIBLE IN FIFA 11 PC BUT POSSIBLE IN OTHER VERSIONS IN FIFA 10 AND BEFORE). [Mind you I am not talking bout vis sim]

IN MY OTHER FIFA PC COLLECTIONS TILL 10', I COULD JUST PUT THE CONTROL INBETWEEN TWO SIDES AND NOT SELECT A SIDE AND WATCH A GAME AND THEN DURING THE GAME MAKE CHANGES USING TEAM MANAGEMENT, SELECTING A SIDE - JUST LIKE EMULATING THE "COACH MODE" AS IN PES. BUT WHEN I TRIED DOING THAT FOR FIFA 11 PC, IT IS NOT HAPPENING. IT IS INSTRUCTING TO SELECT A SIDE TO PLAY THE MATCH. THIS HOWEVER CAN BE DONE IN EXHIBITION MATCHES BUT NOT IN TOURNAMENT OR CAREER MODE. CAN NEONE PLEASE hELP ME FIND A SOLUTION WHERE I CAN DO THE ABOVE?

but its not happening in mine.....fifa 11 pc original as well, whenever in tournament or career mode i try to put the control in the centre and advance, it says you must select a side to play the match.

The same thing happens to me. I have contacted EA and they can't help. I can't watch the game unless I play. have you found a fix to this???

please help anyone..i believe it is possible to manipulate the control to keep it in the centre and just watch the game in career and tournament mode..if anybody can, i'll be truly grateful!

Yes i want to know how to do that too , it was quite of fun to watch matches without to select any side in FIFA 10 , now in FIFA 11 i can't do that .

What you can do is choose a side in the main menu, and when the match starts you choose controls -> select sides and move the controller icon into the middle. Then you can watch the CPU playing against itself (I don't really get the point of that tho). It works, I just tried.

don`t think so, works in exhibition nothing else. there probably is a way, trouble is knowing how. it was done for Pes 2011 I believe.

Yeah i tryed it too and works ONLY in exhibition mode , i think it's fun option to allow the CPU to play against itself with two teams , after all why not as in the previous games we had this option ?
I think it won't be so hard if someone understand how to fix this or create a mod .
