How can I Manually Promote a Team to start a new career?

Hi,

I am able to edit most anything in the fifa games and in the past I have been able to modify the fifa.db to promote and regulate teams to start a new career. I wanted to start a career with Southend United in the Eng League Championship and move Stoke to the Eng League 1. Here is what I did:

(1) Modified the table_team_lookup table to change the rtsgt for the 2 teams (I just switched them).

(2) I modified the table_leagueteamlinks and moved SU to 14 and Stoke to 60. (this shows the teams in the correct leagues for reagular matches).

When I start my new season and select Southend, I am still in League 1.

I have deleted all of the files in my Squads & Profile files as well.

Does anyone which step(s) that I missed?

(I use unidb and MS Access to modify the db)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to modify the table_rtsg also (same thing as you did to the other tables)

Thank you for the reply. Do you know what needs to modified on the table_rtsg? There does not appear to be a team link there? Thanks again,

I figured it out. I forgot to update an rtsg in the table_leagueteamlinks. All you need to do to promote a team is to follow what I did in the first post in the thread.
