Hello u all! this is my first post in this forum, but i'm a regular reader.
Let's see, i´ve got a "weird?" problem, im so desesperate that i finally wrote this post, hoping for a solution, cos ive read that many people that have the same GF4ti4200 says game runs perfect.
My machine : p4 2ghz, 512ram, gforce4 ti4200 64mb, Philips 107e 17'' crt monitor.
The problem : "Pes4 demo, Pes3 updated and We7pc does not run smooth"
The facts : "Pes3 , in order to play the first realase of this pc game (without updating it) with incredible smooth
movements i have to do the following proccess: I have to go To properties of nvidia Card , Override refresh section,
and set 1024*768 to 75hz , apply. Then i execute the game. The next thing i have to do is to alt+tab going to desktop,
then i alt+tab into the game again and voilá, the screen goes black for 2 seconds and the game is again displayed with the
75hz refresh "catched", then is when i can experience de full smoothed Pes3 game (just marvellous). When i finish playing i
activate "Aplication control refresh rate" to have a confortable 85hz viewing of my xp desktop. This only happens in this
game, ive played games as doom3, Splintercell and UT smoothly with out doing this.
--> Why do i have to do this???, lets see, if i dont (having my desktop to 1024*768 with 85hz) the game wont run smooth.
its curious, if i do the procces i puted on top with 85hz instead of 75hz the game runs smooth, but it runs EXTREMELY
FAST, its unplayable!
So.. wheres the problem? well, the thing is that i cant apply my alt-tabing-override-refresh-technique with
Pes4 demo, Pes3 updated and We7pc , if i try to alt+tab to desktop the game wont allow me, so i cant see if my
technique could work. Of course i've tryed alt+entering (windowed mode), and it dosent go smooth either.
Things ive tryed: Ive tryed millions of things, really, switching all the settings in the Nvidia display panel
(of course tryed switching vsync).
Other things: It has been a year doing allways this alt+tabing thing, ive reinstalled Winxp several times,
putted other driver versions and so on, so i dont think is a "screwed up os" issue or similar.
(actually i have the lastest nvidia drivers installed)
SO... really, i dont know what can i do, does anyone has any clue? I havent red any post with similar problem ever.
i'd be extremelly grateful with any help.
PD: Yep, my english is as weird as my problem x).
PD2: If you have a GF4ti and dont know what hapens to me, juest please say me your drivers, settings... something...
