help w/ a 2gb ball???

I decided to create my own Premiership Total 90 ball (I know, who hasn't), but I've ran into a big problem and need your help.

I've been using Oedit to modify the ball, but the ball will only work ingame if I use a 128*128 BMP texture (non 2GB). I've been modifying it w/ a 256*256 texture in Oedit, but right b4 the match starts, it'll crash back to the desktop.

So, I've found what the problem is (I think!!!)...
w/ the 3 modified .o files and the 128 bmp, it works ingame. w/ the 2 smaller modified .o files, the original __6.o file and the 256 bmp it works, but obviously the bigger .o file looks incorrect ingame.
So there's something wrong w/ my ___6.o file when it uses the 256 bmp. I don't believe it's corrupted because it works in the non-2GB (128 bmp) format. So does anyone have any solutions???
I'm guessing my __6.o file is not 2GB (256 bmp) compatible??? I don't know why because the .o files that I altered are from ball raptor 2.0. I used the 'ball____model58__6.o' model files (addidas tango)

anyway, even though this ball isn't quite complete yet, here are some screens from Oedit to show that it's a quality piece of work in progress. I figure I can easily make the Spanish version, the night (dark blue/yellow) version, and the regular red version if I could just get this to work.
Hell, I even have a 2005 version that's almost done, until I realised that the 05 balls couldn't be used for FIFA 2004 !!!! :(

any help would be GREATLY appreciated :rockman:

I just need to know why the 'ball____model58__6.o' file I edited will work w/ a 128*128 bmp, but not a 256*256 bmp. :confused:
I assumed it was originally 2GB capable, but.....
