Help needed
When you get your other turkey, try to get a fresh one. Recommended fridge thawing time is 4-5 days for anything larger than 20 lbs. Doing it in the sink with water will literally take hours believe me, I know firsthand.
Also, never heat a turkey to thaw it. Theyre just like chicken and you risk samonella contamination.
For the stuffing, if you are buying the bags of bread cubes, write down the ounces they give next to the cups on the website. I have a 20 lb. turkey this year and it needed 15 cups of stuffing. Just on a hunch, I wrote down how many ounces it needed and took it with me to the store. And I can tell you, Im glad I did. My store didnt have cup conversions on the bag, but it did have ounces.
Just wanted to give a few more pointers. Have a happy Thanksgiving
