The reserves are mid table actually, nothing special; although with Salgado down there now they might start a nice run. No more story for probably 20 hours at the least, could be up to 30 or so. I'm writing as I play, so no catching up that plagues many stories.

Ivan Helguera requests a transfer. These are becomming every day occurances, but i still won't let anyone leave. Plus Helguera is my star striker, why would I let him go?
Abel Xavier says he is pleased with me complimenting him. At least some guys think I'm doing a good job. Xavier, Bosnich, and the Board.

ANOTHER 0-0 draw!!! Racing Santander couldn't get a damn goal on us this time; it was at the Bernabeu in front of 60,000 people. Far from capacity, wonderful. Still too many though.

Roma make a 14.5M bid for Ronaldo; rejected. PERFECT! Their values are already plummitting.
Bayern make a bid as well. Ronaldo is pissed about the rejected bids.
We also lose 5-0 to Barcelona at the Nou Camp. I decided to lose this one depite what the board might think because of those previous draws. Damn Santander and Osasuna might have cost me a month down the road.

We lost on the road 4-0 to Malaga today, but the bigger story is that both Beckham AND Mihajlovic got sent off in the 32nd minute! They both kicked players.
"We played well today and would have won if it wasn't for the sending off in the 32nd minute. Miha's was unavoidable, but then when Beckham did it after Miha did it, he ruined every chance we had at winning with his selfish act. Beckham is a disgrace."
The fans have told me to drop the out of form players (everyone) in favor of younger players who haven't been given a chance. Fair enough, we'll begin a standard 3-2-5 next week without any of the star players.

Today we drew 1-1 with Bilbao at the Bernabeu; the goal comming from Abel Xavier.
"Today the selfish play of our players was saved by a brilliant goal from Abel Xavier. He scored off a corner taken by Bosnich, so everyone should stop questioning having the Keeper take Goal kicks because Bosnich is the best at doing it."
Ronaldo gets sent down to the C team.
The Board are satisfied with my performance.

Everyone except Xavier, Bosnich, and Miha are removed from their national team squads for the upcomming friendlies. They don't play well for me, they can't play for the national team.

We travelled to the league leaders Sevilla (SEVILLA!!) today and lost 2-0. That keeps us at the bottom of the league by 6 points. 10 from safety. Oh, and we've played 24 games.....only 14 to go.
The board are pissed about the loss.

We draw Celta 0-0 at the Bernabeu. Man I love playing boring anti-Madrid style games at the Bernabeu. The fans aren't happy, but almost 65,000 still game to the game!! They need to stop comming to games and stop buying merchendise!

We draw 0-0 to Murcia today in an away game. This signaled our 14th league match without a win; but the board didn't seem all that mad, so that's good.
The Tenerife Manager was given an ultimatum, win or be fired. Apparantly the Tenerife standards are much higher than here at Real Madrid.

We lost 1-0 at home to Brondby in the first leg of some round of the UEFA Cup. We shouldn't even have this game to worry about, but we screwed up and placed 3rd in our CL group. Oh well, in a week Real Madrid won't have to worry about Europe ever again.

Today we played Deportivo at the Bernabeu and I believe that we had to win this game to buy me more time. In fact a win over Depor at home would be huge, so we came out to win. We drew though, but completely dominated the game. Diouf had our only goal and Portillo had one called back because of a bogus offsides call.

CRASH!!! That's it, we're never going back to Europe. We crashed out of the UEFA Cup 2-0 at Brondby, 3-0 on aggregate.

So we sit 11 points from safety and play Valencia today. I'm going for a win, we gotta beat the rivals here.
We win 3-2 thanks to goals from Zidane, Ruben, and Beckham. We're now 8 points from safety, in last place by 4 points, and out of Europe.
Real Madrid's balance is down to 42M.

Athletic Bilbao sack their manager!!! I'm not the first to go in Spain! Wow, that's insane.
Valladolid SUCKS! They just lost to a crew of unhappy, unsettled misfits playing out of position. We won 1-0 at the Bernabeu through a goal from Abel Xavier.

Today we play 17th placed Espanyol. The team barely out of relegation. They lead us by 7 points right now, and we WILL be 10 from safety after this game.
We lose 2-0 with goals from Tamundo and Bobson. We now sit 10 points out of safety with 30 games played. Only 5 games away from being relegated for certain if Espanyol enjoy some success.

I am informed that the contracts of many of my non-playing personnel are up at the end of this year. None of them are offered a contract.

Today we play Atletico Madrid at the Bernabeu; we WILL win this one. Atletico are in 18th place, and while I would love for us to go down and Atletico to stay up, I have to keep my job, so they're going to lose.
HAHAHA, well, this was actually probably better than winning. We got BLOWN OUT by our biggest rivals! And Hierro and Beckham were sent off! We lost 4-1. Atletico had 4 shots on target, we had 8. Yeah, it was pretty pathetic; and you can't blame me, we had 9 men and outplayed them!!
The fans are pissed. The Board say my job is safe. I ask for more time to rebuild the squad.

Florentino Perez was in a tough spot. Real Madrid was probably going to go down and go bankrupt unless he made some serious changes. He knew that whatever happened he needed to keep Real Madrid in La Liga and manage the money a lot better; since this was the job of the manager mostly, he needed to hire a manager who was tight with money, and played a disciplined style of ball to win Madrid's reputation back.
Just then a man walked into his office. The man had a large mustache, dreadlocks, sunglasses, and wore laderhosen.
Hans Krauter: Guten Tag mein freund. Ich heisse Hans Krauter. I heard about your dilemma und I dink I kann help.
Perez: Why should I hire you to be the new Manager at Real Madrid?
Hans: Vell, I liebe Madrid, pluus I am German, zerefore I am gut vith money und run a tight shipp.
Perez: I'm desperate, our money situation is much worse than anyone knows, and everyone who I tell this to doesn't want the job anymore. We WILL go bankrupt and will need to go through a tough period before we become the Madrid of old. Will you please take the job?
Hans. Javol Herr Perez, Ich vould be honored.
Well, if you haven't guess, Hans Krauter is the same guy as Jacque Frogoi, just wearing lederhosen, a dreadlock wig, and a big fake mustache. More of the same to follow.

Krauter takes over with a bank balance of 27M and a game THAT day. Djalminha just got back from rehab and is now healthy. We play AT Real Sociedad today. Losing time.
We lose 2-0, on no! What a terrible start for the new manager.

We played first place Betis today at the Bernabeu and lost 2-0. That puts us 12 points behind safety, which is coincidentally 17th place Atletico Madrid. You know what this means......1 more lost and we're all by relegated. 1 more point from Madrid and 1 more loss from us and we ARE relegated. Relegation eta...7 days.

The air smelled of defeat. The players knew they were 1 game away from relegation, and instead of pump them up, they looked like the game was already lost. I, of course, helped that along with my pre-game speech.
"You guys are losers! If you hadn't lost 20 league games you wouldn't be in this situation. You are the biggest collection of hyped up players with no talent that I've seen since Argentina's WC 2002 team. If you lose this game you are done, hell I hope we lose so you primadonnas get a taste of life in the lower leagues where you belong. Go out and lose you wastes of human life."
The accent is gone now, no one noticed.
Djalmina got the game off to a great start, because as we were already down 2-0 early in Villareal, Djalminha did was he was brought here to do....go crazy and have a detrimental effect on the team. We eventually lost 5-0 through a hattrick from Juan Riquelme.
Other news of the day....
Atletico Madrid beats Celta Vigo, putting them 15 points ahead of us and......
REAL MADRID ARE RELEGATED FROM THE FIRST DIVISION!!!
From here on out, Hans Krauter will try win every game to help is standing with the board.

We played Zaragoza at the Bernabeu and Hans Krauter showed the home fans that he could manage the club to success and promotion next season. We won 6-0 through a Diouf brace and a Zidane hattrick. None of it matters baby! We're going down! That's just so cool.

We played Albacete today, who are remarkably in 9th place. We lost too, 3-2 after goals from them in the 81st, 89th, and 90th minutes. Wow. Just wow. I can't even win if I try.

Today we played Mallorca at the Bernabeu and I looked forward to exacting some revenge for the losses earlier in the year. We won 5-1 thanks to a Zidane hattrick. He's loving playing here in La Liga with actual good tactics, I bet he'll LOVE playing in the Second Division with **** tactics

And with no games left on the schedule until next season, with orders for no one to touch the squad, and with Madrid at a current bank balance of 11 Million Euros, Hans Krauter went on vacation until August 1st of next year.... the team will not stop training. By the Time I get back the team will be in debt.

Oh, and to the guy above, I sold Cambiasso somewhere on December 1st of 2003, but Solari is sitting on my bench. Ruining his career is much better than selling him I think. Sitting on a Second Division B3 team's BENCH is way worse than going somewhere else.
