When you're on the screen where you can select the club you would like to manage, if you press back and then forward again, it gives you some different options. I noticed that when I was choosing, I chose the British division with the English leagues and the Scottish league, and it gave me the option to manage Celtic and Rangers. I found that to be a bit odd.

They are both 4 star teams if I remember correctly.

Sorry if you posted a correction about this in one of the pages 16-25, but you're wrong. I started my career with Northampton. Also, I had all of the division 2 teams to choose from, with the exception of Swansea and Oxford. You just have to go back and forth between screens to get the one you want.

What planet are you from?! You can cross the ball into the box with the goalkeeper if you bring him up that far.

The answer is yes, you can cross with anyone on the pitch.

Even in the demo you could cross the ball with anyone, I know that for a fact.

I feel your pain brother. I would be completely pissed if Arsenal had red shorts, or didn't have white sleeves...that would be traumatic! That's about the best comparison I can think of. Sorry they've Carlos*ed it up for you Canaries fans. If you've got it for the PC, you can import the correct kit. Just surf these forums in the FIFA 2005 Kit section and ask someone to make the Norwich kits for you.

Yeovil beat me to a pulp last night, 2-0 after 7 minutes, and 3-0 at half. End result was Yeovil 3-0 over Northampton (me). The guy even scored a bicycle kick on a well constructed play on the left wing for the 2nd goal. After that, I knew I was done for.

As far as I know, you cannot see the linesmen or referee on the XBox version.

Also, there are no substitution animations or any graphics stating that the substitution has occurred. I'm not too terribly upset about that, because I always used to pause the game so it would go away, because it would lag the game and get in the way if you were near the bottom of the screen. If you don't know what subs you just made, then you're memory needs strengthening.

No, that's false.

Most of the kits are updated, unless it's like 2nd division English clubs, then I'm not sure how updated they are.

My thoughts to the game are Fantstic I love it and i Love it that's all i have to say But i know that EA SPORTS are holding back all the Equipment because Fifia 2006-7 are going to be amazing but we have a age to wait for them but FIFA 2005 i am enjoying realistic things and fantstic Players looks i point of view is 9/10

There's still work to be done. It's an improvement on 2004 in some areas, but there are still some gameplay issues that need to be sorted out.

They need to change the way you take corners and free kicks. They're ok now, but they need to be less restrictive and more open. You shouldn't have to take a free kick with the same player for the entire game, you should be able to choose. Also, on a direct free kick, you should be able to lay the ball off to the center of the box for someone to take a shot. Things like that would be a step in the right direction.

I like the game, and I enjoy the career mode, hopefully I can manage a club that doesn't have worthless players soon...lol.

And finally, I don't know why everyone is up in arms about there not being an intro. All you're going to do is watch it ONE time, and then, every other time, you're going to wish there wasn't one. I'm glad that there isn't one, it's just one more thing that doesn't need to take up space on the disc.

Now I gave Fifa 2005 the real chance I saved for it and this is my complains:

Dribbling: Very bad, very bad respons from the players when you are trying to dribble only with the cursour buttons.

Goalkeeper: Is he superman? So damn fast and it's almost impossible to dribble him and he saves everything in worldclass...

Boring CPU goals: Same old ****. You dominate the game. Then the ball is passed between a bit outside your penalty area and the goal where a attacker in the other team shoot and scores 95% of the time while you need 10 chances to score a goal.


One-One with the keeper: I played in league mode and the ******* keeper saved every one-one oppurtunity and the goal is so small so it's hard to go for feeling. Even if you press very easy on the shoot button it looks like the player shoots for his life...

I even tested one-one in training mode and I scored like one of ten times with players like Ronaldo and Nistelroy.


Defending:

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to run faster than a player who have the ball?

Try playing on a different difficulty before you judge the dribbling and shooting. I think that you're just not ready for world class, I mean, you did just get the game. You can't expect to be a master at it straight away...

I think the game is very polished and the career mode discouraged me at first but i warmed up to it after a while

I dont understand that lil "and-1 mixtape" roll move the players sometimes make when they lob a pass

Brought this game and i must say that it has been improved but still miles away from PES/WE in terms of gameplay ....

Tho' i make kits , i always look forward to the gameplay for a soccer game , but once again this game has disappointed me ....

First Touch is good but EXTREMELY HYPED ,even when PES/WE came for PC , it was not even 10% hyped of what "First Touch" is hyped !! ... football is not about dancing around doing stupid tricks ... Still extremely scripted as CPU always scores the same types of goals , also headers are always won by the CPU in our penalty box ... Still the "Robotic" feeling is there ... as always , the physics of the ball is wrong (said many times) .... even while defending , when we know that CPU is going to pass it to the striker , i go towards the striker , but my defender hardly moves ... it feels as tho CPU is controlling my team , not me !

i think stats of players should be removed especially for GK's as all GK's are Supermen . it makes no difference if a GK has a reflex of 10 or 99 !! ... shoot from 50 yards to 5 yards ... they'll "Catch" almost everything even if the shooting meter is nearly 90% !!!
Shooting is poor ... even if shooting meter is about 30% , the player kicks about 100 miles an hour ! and the best thing is the keeper Catches it !!!
Also played many matches but never seen a midfielder score ! only strikers score ! totally unrealistic ...
and yes , i always play either Pro or World Class , but that does not mean midfileders can never score !! in PES , playing difficulty of 4 stars , i have scored sometimes with midfielders ... i am not saying eveytime only midfielders should score but i think u ppl got the point ... again it proves that the game the scripted ....

Extremely repetitive when scoring , for e.g just go near the penalty box , press q , other striker runs , press w , defenders are far behind and giving ample of time to score ! i am not saying that this is not football , but are many "sweet spots" in this game too .... (not comparing to PES cos anyways the gameplay is extremely poor when compared to PES, but in PES there are hardly any "sweet spots" )
Free Kicks and Corner Kicks are Rubbish !! nothing much to say here , the concept is entirely rubbish ... they really have to re-write this 2 things cos this are probably one of the worst part in this game
And always as usual , there's no "feeling" when u score a goal in this game ... Even when u dont score a goal in PES , u feel satisfied that i could hold such a great team to a 0-0 draw ... this type of feeling is not at all there in this game ...

Probably the only few good things in this game and previous fifa titles were the graphics and editing part... there are few more improved things but many of u have said before ....

Also before some immature fans speak rubbish , it was my personal point of view (just becos some immature ppl here like this game , it does not mean EVERYONE should like this game) .. i have paid for this game and i have felt that i have made a mistake by buying this game .....i am not a fan boy of either Fifa series or PES , but i(and most of u) feel that Fifa series has no class compared to PES /WE series ......

I agree to with everything. Just one thing tho. The sweet spot you talked about with player run and make a through ball and score. I think Fifa is better in that way. If PES had players runs with a button it would've been super.

But I noticed you can send a player on a run but you need to make a wall pass for that...
