You like Lynch?

here:

"Pull the string! Pull the string!"

The film is quite hilarious.

aww, for f*ck sake. I thought that movie was kinda unknown. Yeah, well...

Yes, I love david lynche's movies, they are some of my favourites. You to?

Btw, off topic for a little moment, I was checking out that warzone pixel pic you made. Holy crap man, how do have the willpower to do something like that? Incredible! Must have taken you months? Truly amazing.

Thanks,

I used to have the time to do stuff like that but now I am really quite busy so I haven't created any pixel art like that for a while now. But yeah, it does take a while.

anyway - a new quote; considering everyone seems to be running dry:

"I'll tell you what I want you to do, JANET! I want you to do your f**king job! "

Magnolia

Say Callan, was the "Ed Wood" one right or wrong...?

As no one responded to my last quote: It was from Alejandro Amenabar's "Tesis" => a must-see!

"Mother, she's just a stranger"! As if men don't desire strangers! As if... ohh, I refuse to speak of disgusting things, because they disgust me! You understand, boy? Go on, go tell her she'll not be appeasing her ugly appetite with MY food... or my son! Or do I have tell her because you don't have the guts! Huh, boy? You have the guts, boy?

okay, new quote:

"No (name), I'm not saying you can't shoot. I know you can't shoot. I'm just sayin' it'd probably do him more damage if you fed it to him."

I think it's better if people just throw them in as it means a really tough one wont slow the whole thing up.

nirds quote is a really, really easy one anyway - from Snatch.

On the David Lynch topic, I have never been a big fan of his films, but I recently bought the first series of Twin Peaks and am currently half way through it and so far it is FANTASTIC. Totally changed my opinion of the man, it's one of the most deep and engrossing things I have ever seen, and the characters are amazing, even though he has relatively poor actors to work with. Mulholland Drive and Elephant Man really didnt do it for me, however, can anyone recommend to me some better, perhaps more obscure, David Lynch films to develop my new found liking for him?

BTW Tajike, is your quote from Psycho? Long time since I've seen it but I vaguely remember hearing it there and the mother reference is helping to convince me I'm right?

I should have figured a english guy would guess that quote pretty easily...

but I must say, welcome to the family! Twin Peaks is awesome, best series i've seen. if you wanna discuss something from the show, don't hesitate. I got my theories on the different things...and by the way, how far have you come in the show? Would be nice to know so I don't say anything that would ruin any surprises.

There are a few poor actors in the show, but Cooper saves that part. He plays amazingly. Woohoo! I'm so excited right now, so rare to find someone who actually likes twin peaks. Great (Y) :D

Yeah, it is really, really good. Not the best series I have ever seen, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy would get that award, but excellent nonetheless. So far I have watched the Pilot and the first three episodes - just after the funeral and the first time we find out who the Boat House Boys are. The guy who plays Cooper is in alot of Lynch's work, but the rest of the cast are pretty amateurish, not that is matters. I love Albert the FBI pathologist :D

So far I really have no idea who the murderer is, my Dad says he got it by Episode 4 when he watched it first, so I have to get it soon to save embarrassment. The guy who runs the hotel, Audrey's father, is propably who I suspect most right now because it wouldnt be too obvious but he is still a possibility, after all, he tried to prevent Albert examining the body as if there was something he didnt want him to find. The oriental lady, Packard, who runs the mill also seems like a possibility to me, it seems like she is trying to cloud the sheriff's judgement and she just seems all too innocent. Other than that I'm not sure, Leo Johnson and Dr. Jacobi seem too obvious, I cant imagine it is any of the Boathouse Boys and Bobby and Mike aren't clever enough :p I suppose it could be one of the ladies who work at the cafe, or the lady with an eye patch, but they dont seem very likely to me.

Anyway, DONT TELL ME :p

The music is just absolutely amazing and the eerieness he achieves, not least by the complete lack of extras, is really quite amazing. Gripping storyline too. I did think the dream was going a bit too far though, I like the way Cooper has brilliant natural intuitions but I dont want them to be too unbelievable. The best acting performance in the whole thing though is Lucy, the Sheriff's secretary, who is just perfect.

How long did it take you to guess the murderer?

"When you're dealing with a store like this, they're insured up the ass. They're not supposed to give you any resistance whatsoever. If you get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your gun and smash their nose in. Everybody jumps. He falls down screaming, blood squirts out of his nose, nobody says ******* **** after that. You might get some bitch talk **** to you, but give her a look like you're gonna smash her in the face next, watch her shut the **** up. Now if it's a manager, that's a different story. Managers know better than to **** around, so if you get one that's giving you static, he probably thinks he's a real cowboy, so you gotta break that son of a bitch in two. If you wanna know something and he won't tell you, cut off one of his fingers. The little one. Then tell him his thumb's next. After that he'll tell you if he wears ladies underwear. I'm hungry. Let's get a taco."

I know I've heard it somewhere before.

Sounds like Reservoir Dogs or something...?

Thought of "Casino" at first, but I don't think it is.

I'll go for Reservoir Dogs.

Yeah it's Reservoir Dogs.

Here's one:

"Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon, and for the rest of your life."

Casablanca

Easy one:

"Tonight, you men will sleep with your rifles. You will give your rifle a girl's name because this is the only pussy you people are going to get. Your days of finger-banging ol' Mary J. Rottencrotch through her pertty pink panties are over! You're married to this piece. This weapon of iron and wood. And you will be faithful."

Full Metal Carlos*et

Another easy one:
"For us to live any other way was nuts. Uh, to us, those goody-good people who worked ****ty jobs for bum paychecks and took the subway to work every day, and worried about their bills, were dead. I mean they were suckers. They had no balls. If we wanted something we just took it. If anyone complained twice they got hit so bad, believe me, they never complained again."
