You were disappointed with Rat? He was excellent in stopping Riberry on a number of occasions. I thought he played his position great.

I expected more from him.. he usualy is much more offensive. And i think he was insecure in some tacklings. Don't get me wrong, i think he is one of the best in his position, and maybe that's why i'm dissapointed in him. he could have done much more (the same goes for Mutu). I think France was a team to beat today, shame we didn't get 3 points. Didn't see France playing that bad in years...

We will see if Ribery will react under pressure and if he'll be a new Zidane for France.....
For the Romania, even if they suceed in their strategy I was really dispointed to see that they played like Forea Island....

That's the problem of the greece title 4 years ago, nothing for the show evrything for the results... that's not the football I'd like to see...

France could become the best team of the world when they play agaisnt very technical and offensive teams (like Brazil, remember the last world cup!!!)

after this evening I really hope that both france and holland will be qualified for the next round!!!!

Could you have a "new" Zizou? I don't think France will find one at least for a while, Zidane was a football phenom.

I think France missed Henry today as well.

Abidal should be replaced with Patrice Evra, he'd get the attacks going like he does for Man Utd. Abidal was poor today and in any case I think Evra is a better player.

Not a bad start, Piturca got the team very organized in defense. France played bad. Romania was a little dissapointing in attack, but I think the coach might change tactics in the next games.

p.s. Radu (Lazio) is an excellent left back from what I've seen of him.. but Rat is pretty good too. I want Mutu to receive more balls to his feet so he can make something happen. I heard he's going to Romania to visit his family (grandma died)... I hope he doesn't go out with Romanian fans and gets f*cked up .

Agree with you regarding Abidal... even if I have a lot of respect for Eric Abidal, I would prefer to see Evra and Gael Clichy as the sub....

I think that Viera was the real player that missed to france for his leadership between defence and offensive players....
But France really need to upgrade their mental to win against holland and hurted Italy....

France is going to have a real problem scoring goals. Although, having said that, 2 years ago they started with a 0-0 borefest against the Swiss and turned on the style as the tournament progressed, so who knows.

well hes affected by his grandmother passing away, but played ok. Hopefully in the next game hes gona do more, was kinda lazy today. On another note im glad that they finaly tought the players to sing the national anthem. Only niculita wasnt actualy singing it, however compared to other matches when only Lobont was singing this was good, it made me fell very Proud.

Rat was great. played well against ribery. i was dissapointed that M. Niculae was introduced and realy dint show anything for it, was not even running.

yes

he killed our hopes, i never saw a french team play so slow and so afraid to lose, i rather lose by playing to our indentity, than string a bunch of nil nil games playing whatever Raymondo feels that day.

i can't believe he actually thought relying on Toulalan and Maka to play through the middle, for gods sakes they are incredibly defensive holding mids, why would you need two to play against a team that was parking it, Abidal was aweful on the left so thin, same as Flo.

oh let's talk about substitutions for a second

Gomis for Anelka, ok we need to win this because let's face it's the toughest group, but Raymondo in all his wisdom can't even think about attacking or switching tactics that weren't working he didn't even try switching his wings Rat was doing an Awesome job on Ribéry he closed him down, but noo let's stick to something that doesn't work, so he changes striker for striker when it was obvious that two holding mids weren't needed for this game.

second sub, Nasri for Benzema, nice, this actually means we had no strikers left, Gomis was playing his third match in bleue and Raymond leaves him alone up front..... Raymondo actually killed our attack on purpose, how's that for tactical genious, i can't wait for him to fail miserably so we can get rid of the worse NT coach in the history of Football.
