Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has claimed his side have reached an agreement to sign Jesper Gronkjaer.
The news will come as a shock to Birmingham who are understood to have already shaken hands on a deal for Chelsea's Danish international winger.

Del Nido told Danish newspaper Ekstra Blade: "We have reached agreement with Chelsea and with the player for him to come here next week.

"And I hope the agreements that have been reached will be respected."

Del Nido added: "We only want players here who want to be here.

"But if the deal does fall though a player who is just as good or even better will come here."

Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan has already stated he is confident of completing a £3m deal for Gronkjaer.

O'Sullivan said: "Jesper has indicated that he will come, via his agent, and now its down to sorting out a few financial details."
