Graphics Messed up

hey all, its my first day in the soccer forums. happy to be here.
here is the problem: When i go to create a player the graphics are all distorted. (i.e. hair is floating above the players head, and the body graphics are all fanned out.) during playing when the players are zoomed out they are fine, and there are no other problems, how can i fix this?

Computer specs:
OS: Windows XP SP2
video card: Nvidia GeForce 6200 256mb
sound card: onboard sound
RAM: 756MB DDR Ram
HD: 60 GB (5 GB free)
Processor: AMD Athlon 1.4ghz
directx 9.0c
