When was it? I was kinda monitoring the situation till summer and then forgot about it, but shouldn't GOAL 3 already be near finishing its production since the WC was last summer?

just saw goal 1 the other night, it certainly doesnt live up to the hype everything down from the acting to the footie is absolute ****e, everything is too cliche, needs something different, something really inspiring

well, i saw the first and that's enough for me, what a crap ass movie. If you see a football movie you expect that the guy can at least shoot a f*cking ball. The acting (while playing) was incredibly bad, everyone that played football already knows that.

Well I quite liked the movie .... obviously any NUFC fan would I guess. Yes it was cheesy, lame and predictable in most parts, but some of the shots of the stadium and the city were beautiful!!

Plus I narrowly missed out on an audition to be an extra in the film two years ago when I was working in Newcastle :funny:

Anyway not too keen on this second one though... pff money grabbing Santiago Munez!! ditches us as soon as Real come sniffing around.

Well, US boys keep making films about their huge and so important rugby/baseball sports. Why cant real Football have its own flick. I dont get it. You'd rather have another baseball film instead?

Exactly, we complain that basketball and american football have too many movies and when we get more or less decent football movie, people suddenly start complaining? What did you guys want, something like LOTR trilogy only about football?

Sure the actor is awful at kicking the ball and the original guy that was from Dirty Dancing Havana Nights, would have probably been much better, but hey at least we have something that shows how the real game and training goes, not one of those Under 8 year old teams that suck balls and have a crappy coach, whose son is a captain but sucks as well and they get thrashed in the beggining by the bad team, but then train hard and by the end comeback and beat that bad team in the final! Well, **** that!

well with the amount of money, time and licenses they have you'd expect them to make something better, like they could only hire a stunt double for munez when he ******* juggles the ball for 5 seconds on the way to brekkie instead of during training and games when it is needed more

I dislike the actor, he is a soap opera actor here in Mexico and not a very good one,he has little experience in movies and i only remember one of them and it was really bad, i think they are alot better latin actors out there.

I found it annoying how on many occasions they used footage from previous matches that happened in real life (for example that Henry goal against Real in the CL) probably because I can actually remember those incidents. For a person who doesn't watch a lot of football matches, it might be entertaining.

Well, it would be pretty damn hard to organize 22 players, and stage a goal. How else are they supposed to create in-game shots? Teams don't just go to shot a movie when they are called.

Actually a couple of goals in the main game of the first film (NUFC v Liverpool) were completely fictitious.

They take different goals from different games or something. The Kluivert goal was from when Newcastle beat Chelsea in the FA Cup 1-0 but they used it for a premiership goal in the first one. The things they can do with computers though is effin amazing.

By the way, is the DVD for the second one gonna come out before the actual movie in the States. If the DVD's gonna come out first them I might as well download it than wait for the movie to hit the theatre.
