George Best is NOT an England legend,

He didn't play for England

Haha, Best is English now is he?

Probably the 2nd best footballer to grace the planet, let's hope he's remembered for the right reasons.

AILING: George Best (Soccer America)

Former Manchester United star George Best, 59, who has been in intensive care since Oct. 2 because of a kidney infection, has been unconscious for more than 24 hours and remains on a ventilator. British media report that he is close to death.

Best, whose heavy drinking plagued his soccer career and his health, underwent a liver transplant in 2002.

Who know's how long he has till he dies. Wish him all the best

YELLOW CARD - Sarcasm
Although his greatness was undeniable, people still argue he can't be considered one of the best players ever because he never had chance to prove himself at a World Cup level. Great player though.

Strange thing was earlier I read his condition was showing "slight improvement" this morning

His condition is improving, so said the BBC midday. Now there is a report that Fergie is hopeful of a recovery

I dont want to get into slandering a man who is on his last legs, because its just not right, but damnit, it annoys me that he ruined a perfectly good liver after being luckier than most in getting a second one

Anyway, heres hoping he recovers (Y)

Bobby

The Legend
The liver thing annoys me too, a whole list of other people wouldn't have done that.

I'm won't wish harm on him, that's scummy, but I don't respect him. Didn't he hit a woman?

Anyway, he looks to be pulling through. He'd better not hit the sauce again.

why are we even bothering with this self-absorbed, woman-beating alcoholic?

as for him being among the top players ever.

he isn't even in the top 10 of all-time British players that i've seen. and i DID see him,

yes i'm that old!
