Although his greatness was undeniable, people still argue he can't be considered one of the best players ever because he never had chance to prove himself at a World Cup level. Great player though.

Strange thing was earlier I read his condition was showing "slight improvement" this morning

I dont want to get into slandering a man who is on his last legs, because its just not right, but damnit, it annoys me that he ruined a perfectly good liver after being luckier than most in getting a second one

Anyway, heres hoping he recovers (Y)

he isn't even in the top 10 of all-time British players that i've seen. and i DID see him,

He's a tough old bugger. But i'm pretty sure Best aint gonna change. & something tells me that he won't live thru another round
