GeForce4 users, PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, first of all, sorry because of my english...
It took few monts to make PES3 running like a bullet on my macine, always 60 fps, but only in 800x600, window mode, 16-bit color and low details, but it is so GREAT tu play this amazing game even on this settings...
Then I read on some forums that the PES4 is more optimized than the PES3, I have it now, but it's so sad experience...
I can not play it even in 640x480, low details, frame rate is going down to 30-45 fps, just sometimes 60 fps.. I'm so dissapointed...
Is there anything I can do????

By the way, my specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256MB DDR RAM,
GeForce4 MX440,
Windows XP and
nVIDIA drivers 66.93..

Just don't tell me to buy a new GFX card, beacause when you live in a country in which you work 25 days in a month to earn approx. 100-150 EUROs, it's so hard to by a food only, and the GFX card like GF 5700 or better is just a dream... PLEASE, help...

I've got almost the same configuration as you man (except the processor-> 2600+) and the game works perfectly at a 800*600 resolution. So I don't understand why do you face such a problem

I've just got the game and having similar problems. Its horribly jerky and painful to play. I had the same problems with PES3 but solved them (more or less) by using 3D Analyse, a free download from Tommi Systems. However, the settigns I used for PES3 don't seem to work for PES4.

Soooo... does anyone know what the best settings in 3D Analyse for PES4 are for geforce4 MX cards?

By the way, I have a similar setup to you, AMD XP 2500+, 512MB DDR RAM (but had 256MB until a few weeks ago + haven't noticed any significant difference in PES3), 80GB hard drive and an onboard geforce4 MX, roughly equivalent to a 440 I think.

Hi Mate the settings on 3d analyze are a tick in the force SW tnl and also in the emulate HW TnL Caps...works for me

Thanks loads for getting back, I'll give that a whirl once I do a bit more fiddling about with my system + reinstall the game. Someone else elsewhere told me to try ticking Force Zbuffer and Force 16bit Zbuffer (without stencil) as well, maybe that might help even more? Going to install Wolf patch too, are you running that as well? Heard the fancy balls are not good for the ol' MX's ticker...

You really should check this out Vaske, don't have the link off hand but just google 3D-Analyse + Tommi. Try it for PEs3 as well. Thanks again Damo7!

Offcourse, I have tried 3D Analyzer, Riva Tuner, GeForce tweak utility, nothing better.. Those settings in 3DAn were OK for PES3, 60 fps always in 800x600, but with PES4 don't work on my machine...

Gee Vaske, if you "of course" have tried 3D Analyzer and Riva Tuner then why didn't you mention it in your opening post? I've trawled through a lot of forums about this problem + those programs are always being recommended so if you had tried them already you should have said so, of course people are going to recommend them if you don't.

I have the game running remarkably well on my system using a combination of these 2 programs so if you can't get it to run on yours then either a) your system just isn't capable of running the game (which I doubt as its not that much poorer than mine) or b) your setup is wrong. What setup are you using in 3DAnalyser and Rivatuner?

Also, I find nVidia drivers 44.03 the best in general for my Gf4MX, have had problems in other programs with newer ones.

Jefferson Goh and Soccerulez, not everybody is fortunate enough to live in a country where you get paid enough to be able to "simply" upgrade your system every other year. If you reread Vaske's first post, you'll see that buying a new system isn't an option. Great for you if you have lots of money lying around to upgrade your system whenever you want, no need to rub those who don'ts noses in it.

Well Czarner, thanx for trying to help..
I used those settings for 3DAn : force z buffer, disable two sided stencil, emulate HW TnL caps, remove stuttering - quality and force 24-bit z-buffer without stencil. Also in Riva tuner I disabled, antialiasing, V-sync, set performance on textures but nothing.
With those settings PES3 worked FINE, but PES4 NO...

Am I wrong about my settings? Something other to try? What settings in those programs you use? Please...

Nvidia Omega drivers 45.23 was the only thing that solved my problems with pes 4.
