Game running far far too fast ! ??

Firstly we'r talking about the Pc version of fifa 2005.

Can you tell me how to fix this >
My game runs far too fast, its like watching a very speeded up video playing its that fast (unplayable).
It only happens when playing against the computer or in practice mode etc but multiplay online games work fine.

Anyway, I brushed this issue under the carpet since october because I never really played against the pc or used practice mode, I only play online really, BUT recently its raised its ugly head again as iam trying to go in and play some games in practice mode.

Soooo, iam hoping that someone may have a fix for this problem by now, I mean its 2 months down the road, and I know of others with the same problem, one being a pal of mines, so I know this isnt just a one off issue.

Please dont tell me to try all the silly stuff that Ive already been through 100 times, I.E - install latest driver,patch's, direct x, reinstall the game, etc etc etc, Ive already been through all that stuff (myself and ea support too)

Please help a.s.a.p

This problem drives me crazy. I have only played 4 matches that have actually been in normal speed, all the rest have been super fast and unplayable.

I have opend crtl+alt+del windows task manager and ended all processes except taskmng and explorer and this has occasionally worked for me but not always.

Please anyone help , EA dont care and i cant get into this game when playing extra fast it sucks

same here mate, the only way i can play is in online matchup's, they seem to work ok but apart from that the game is unplayable, and yes your right about ea, they dont seem to care :(

i had exactly the same problem , i tried reinstalling but that didn't help, in the end, simply rebooting my pc just fixed it. :)

I found some online EA support advice. it says some notebooks with centrino processors have known to have this problem. they then say 'try unplugging the power cable and run the notebook on batteries' yeah great advice this hasnt worked for me.
