Game pad (Right Analog Stick) Help

Try to do this:

1.Check the name of your controller in Control Panel/Game Controllers. That name must be the same as the one which appears in your FIFA 08/Controls.[ Could be also saitek p2500 in Control Panel and just Controller in game; is that so?]
2.Go in regedit(follow the link I aformentioned)and search for the exactly same name as in Control Panel (is not absolute necessarily to be saitek p2500 or any other name of controllers of the rest of you guys). Once you'll find it, right click his OEMName/Modify and rename that one with one of the names of the controllers from the devdata(you can copy-paste to be sure it is correctly written; for example, saitek p2500 to Saitek Cyborg Force Rumble Pad).
3.Once you did that, the new renamed controller must be the same in Game Controllers and under Controls in game.

P.S. This worked for me, with 2 different gamepads, and it should work for you too. But is not 100% sure, not at all. Maybe your gamepad(s)must be mapped to work, or they are fully not supported or just is not ment to be working!

I wish this trick to work for all of you and start to have real fun playing FIFA 08(despite that supernatural goalkeeper !).

I have a Genius MaxFire G-12U gamepad. Its right analog stick doesn't work. Its also not supported in FiFa's devdata.dat file. I have tried to figure out how the code for the maxfire should look in the devdata.dat file, but to no avail. Please help.

The only problem everyone apart from anyone who can read german has is that it is in german so i need a german folk to translate everything. I myself am working on it using a translator but one word has about 20 different meanings in different contexts so i am a bit screwed. But ENJOY

The right joystick on my controller doesn't do anything in Fifa. I am using a PS2 controller with a USB converter. Does anyone else have this problem? I have found this website which helped a little but not completely....

I've tried some of the suggestions above and although they helped me get the right analog stick working abit, my button functions were mixed up. I tried to change them in the control setting for the game controls, but it didn't work. Does anyone have any other ideas to fix this!?

I have finally given up. I went out and bought a Logitech Rumblepad 2 for PC, and now I am finally enjoying Fifa the way it was meant. Thanks anyway to everyone for your suggestions. Cheers:amika:

I need Help with XFX Xgear dual reflex corded gameepad. How do i use it to play fifa 08? It has analog mode but fifa 08 does not detect it. please brief me on this fact. I just bought the controller to play fifa 08 type games so help. Please discribe the whole process plz.

people out there who are using genius maxfire g-12 u ....this is the solution.... i ve edited devdata file..nd now both vibration and right anlog stick are working for me...... u can copy this to ur user data...(ie XMy Documents\FIFA 08\user\) where X is your drive

I have a wingman rumblepad and can only use the right stick to move the goalie left and right. Do you have to time it just right with a defender in front? I have tried it in practice mode with high skilled players and cannot do any trick moves.
