Game modes

i'm "making the switch" to WE6 once it is released in the USA. could someone explain the different game modes available in WE6? none of the reviews i've read really give the complete picture. i gather there is a training mode and something called the Master League. but are there international and club cups? are there cup competitions during the season?

also, how difficult is it to edit the individual players (stats and names?)

thanks.

Well the main mode is the Master League. There are 3 divisions and you satrt in the 3rd divsion and have to work your way up. No matter what team you select you start with fake players and earn points based on wins and draws which you can use to buy real players. There is also a cup end of the season durin the master league called the tiny cup which you play in if you dont get promoted i think. Also, if you finish 1st or 2nd i think you play other teams drom D2 for promtion.

As far as other modes, there are various tournaments which you can play with national teams. The European Cup, Copa America, Asia Cup, Africa cup, Konami Cup and another one but I forget the name biscally you can make it like the world cup. Some of these modes unlock classic teams. For example, If you win the European Cup with Italy you unlock a classic italy team.

There is a training mode which i have not seen but here it's cool. Not sure if there are any other modes. Hope that helps.

One thing I forgot to mention is that when you sign players in the master league you have to sign them to contracts and they can turn you down. You can also loan players and get players on free transfers as well where you don't have to pay a transfer fee.

yes, that is very helpful. i kept reading about the master league but wasn't sure if there were also standard domestic leagues, etc.

it's too bad that there isn't quite the depth that EA has in their games. however, i'll take a lack of depth for improved gameplay.

Well I agree but I think once you see the gameplay you won't be that concerned about not having leagues and cups and proper domestic leagues. The gameplay really is that good.

from everything i've read, i believe you. i dug up some reviews on the web of WE6 and i was excited just reading about the various types of passes and shots in the game. not to mention that you can customize formations and tactics. there are so many limitations to FIFA that i feel as though i'm beta-testing, not playing a full release.

Yeah I don't think you will be disapointed at all. It would be nice if they could get proper leagues in there but the Master League is a lot of fun. I am sure you will enjoy it.
