Galatasaray have the advantage...the main reason is HAGI!...They had him while Fener didn't...End of story.Legend!!! :rockman:

Well Galatasaray got more attention here because of the romanian players that played for them but I have to say it's Fenerbahce.

I think you can't say which of them is better. Both of the clubs have a great history. Fenerbahce has the advantage in the turkish football, but in european competitions Galatasaray has been more successful ... and this ties the situation...
How about Trabzonspor? :P

Best behaved fans in 2002 and 2006 World Cups.

Look at EPL games, or any domestic game, or in Europe. No signs of crowd trouble.

i think Fenerbahçe could be stronger now but Galatasaray as more prestige because they won the uefa cup and had decent CL campaigns. a thing where Fenerbahçe always disapoint in the recent years.

Did I say ALL turkish fans are hooligans? No I did not so shut the fu<k up Mr Touchy.

The poster asked for our opinions on what the stature of the 2 clubs might be to outsiders. I gave my view and added an observation about "Certain" fans of both teams, and how they also contribute to an outsiders view of the clubs.

Get your brain into gear before you open your mouth, instead of the other way round.

2ndly, wow, 2 events (2002 & 2006 world cups) in which english behavior was STILL questionable,, ooo because the english are "behaved domestically" that makes them angels? stop thinking so highly of the english. i can name numerous examples of how pathetic english fans are (domestically AND internationally), but I won't humour you. I want to accentuate an important point that there are some "FANATIC" fans in Turkiye, not "HOLIGAN".
And you can never be the witness of racist events in Turkiye.
Of course you can notice the incident about 6alatasaray-Leeds United game. But that was an extreme event. The English fans had taken Turkish flag and wiped it their arses; then they had paid its compensation with their lifes...
That is just one negative event you can tell.
Pls dont slur the people unless you look yourselves...

but relating it to 'team spirit' is another case of ignorance..
non-turkish users may not know how much tax does galatasaray hides out and not pays to the government.. buying a player for a million dollar but telling govt. that they have bought him for couple of thousands dollars just for not paying the tax is not called contribution to a nation.. not to mention what ur ex-ex-president faruk suren did.. ;)
hosting french during world war isnt also contributing to a nation.. ;)

you are really so stupid, i am not insulting you, its a fact.
you know why? the thread is NOT THE MOST SUCCESFUL TEAM IN EUROPE, ITS {Which one is the most successful Turkish team?}
and as you can see on the first page, thats why i have listed championships&tropies of both teams, it wasnt limited to europe, read carefully or use a dictionary.
all those other stuff you have said about Gala, helping the french during the world war, calling us traitors, are all reasonable. you know why? cause you are angry. i have asked people at this forum, what do they think about our teams, and in order to help them out i have given them amount of trophies they have gained so far. and so far, look at their decision. this makes you mad.
