Full match or key moments?

Does only seeing the key moments make any difference on what is happening, or would everything happen as if it were on 'Full Match' but you just don't see it? I've just noticed that I score less goals when I only view the key parts, and 10 minutes can pass without an opportunity, whilst had I been watching Full Match, I probably would have had several chances.

Does anyone know for certain whether the scripts change depending on which you're watching during the match simulation?

Some people mentioned some difference in shots for both the human-managed team or the AI if the game is played on text-only instead of key highlights, so there CAN be a difference between the settings. Only SI can tell us if it's true, though.

I play text only because I don't like the in game transitions. Often the key highlights drag on way too much, like I'll make a substitution, but the "highlight" is 3 minutes long and at the end the computer scores. By the way, the ball rolls out of bounds during the "highlight", so I should be allowed to change formations or make subs.

only key for me. Sometimes I even just go for text. Esp in very easy games and when ive already figured what players can do. Key helps me adjust my tactic whenever I need to. Something that I don;t get with text.

Tbh tho, about the difference between text/highlights.. I always thought (knew, whatever) is that the game result is calculated by the game's engine whenever you start the game. And when the AI or you make a change it gets recalculated all over again, till the next tactical/player adjustment.. So I don't think it actually does make any difference. Unless text and 2d use a separate simulating engine (which should obviously be optimized by SI to produce same/similar results) a version which gets our discussion to a whole different level of complexity. Then again, I'm not SI and I definitely had nothing to do with the game's coding.. I'm just speculating :D

The match is already plotted the moment you start the game and submit your tactics. Only if you change your tactics in the match than the computer recalibrates the result. So playing full match or key shouldn't really make a diffrence(except it takes alot more time watching those dots run around for an hour and a half).

What I think may happen is the result is calculated, but not the total amount of shots, or anything else. Watching highlights MAY make the game create chances just so you don't get bored. Wasn't there an issue on an earlier CM/FM that related to screen resolution leading to more chances being created?

Of course, I'm just speculating here, and I don't believe half of that myself, but as some people have reported differences.....
