FSH Tool problem

I used to be able to use FSH Tool but for soem reason...automatic updates by Windows security or something...I can no longer access FSh Tool....What used to happen is that I could right-click on a .fsh file, then choose to open it with FSh Tool or EA Graph, which I also have


Now, It doesn't give me the option of using FSH Tool and when I browse to the FSh Tool to select it as the program I want to use to open the file, it won't add FSH Tool to the list...just EA Graph is the only option....

Anybody ever have this problem?

I think I have had the same problem, I can't set up fshtool to automatically open a file, only drag and drop

I wonder how to change it also

Before, I used to be able to just right-click and choose FSh Tool, but recently Windows automatic update downloadwed soemthing for security and I think it's shutting out the use of FSh Tool now because it asks me if I want to run it when I click on it. Then when I say yes it gives the error message Unwarranted termination or something...but no info as to what caused the exception...very frustrating!!

Add fshtool.exe in the register key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.fsh\OpenWithList

Hey I have the same problem with my girlfiends computer...where I also have fshtool installed and now it doesn't work on her computer either.....I think Windows Security is screwing it up because there were automatic updates added recently by windwos security....

I check the Registry and in the OpenWithList...fshtool.exe is already in there?

It just seems that Windows in no way recognizes fshtool anymore....when I click on it it just gives the "Unsuccessful termination".

Somehow its being blocked by Wondows security I think because on my home computer it asked me if I wanted to run fashtool for sure becuause Windows Security could not verify the program ID or signature. How the H do I turn off Windows Security features that just downloaded, or temporarily at least??

Tried going to Windows Explorer, and then Tools|Folder Options -> File Types?

Find fsh there and change the program to open it with.


And of course, you can just use it in the command line.

Nah, I tried all that...didn't work...when I tried to just run fshtool it just gave the "unsuccessful termination" error so the command line wouldn't work either. I have since fixed it however by downloading a piece of software called "Open Expert" here:

This allows you to connect any files you want with any application...great little app.
