Formation?

What is the best formation to use? I have tried a few and just wanted to know what you all are using?

4-4-2 generally is the most balanced. but if you want a wide midfield or more options in the box then 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 or 4-3-3.

It depends if you like to attack or defend.

Well I have a solid team and for some reason they always have more guys in the goal bo to defend then I have to attack and they always seem to block it. Arghhh
