This week, The Bootroom, SI's Online Fanzine, goes exclusively behind the scenes at
Sports Interactive and takes a look at some of the features and functionality that you'll
be able to find in Football Manager 2005.

Make sure to visit them, as they have good articles with some new, very informative, exclusive screenshots.

i love how this game is basically making existing features MUCH better instead of expanding into "extra" territory. it looks terrific and the detail is magnificent. i love the whole media involvment in this, and how player's personal feelings and expectations are weighed heavily. it makes me feel like i have more of an impact instead of just kind of rolling along.

ah but my big thing is, will all this media dolali actually effect the game, if it does then it will be brilliant

thats a very good point, but i take comfort in the fact that this game has headed in the right direction in the view of the fans. and if all of this works as advertised and all works with each other, i seriously will have an orgasm every time i play this game.

thats why im trying REAL hard not to get my hopes up too much, but from the looks of it, it will be a much better game then 03/04, which i thought was a very good game to begin with.

It isn’t in our nature to introduce superficial features into the game. Everything we implement will always have an effect somewhere or somehow and particularly with the media aspects it can have a monumental effect on various aspects including your relationship with the press, another manager or your club or another clubs board, fans and players.

SI have always said when people question this that they never add features like that. Just gotta hope that they effect in the right amount and in the right way.
