First Option deals

I keep on getting First Option offers for John O'Shea. I want to accept them because he doesn't really have a future with my club. I get a great offer which is I get 5.25 million now and 27 million later, but when I click on the offer it changes the 27 to 16 and doesn't allow me to raise it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just think the game doesnt allow more money for first option...

Cardiff wanted 5.5mil for earnshaw. I gave them 1mil to purchase him for 1.5mil later and they accepted

That's not first option though, that's spreading the payment.

yeah, first option is giving money to be the first one who can buy a certain player

i have freddy adu on a first option at the moment, i paid them £2m so i can buy him for £500k later on.. was just testing it out really, didn't think they'd accept.. oh well, i have 3 years in which to buy him now, hopefull by the time he's 20 i'll be able to get a work permit for him..

I got a work permit for him straight away, so getting him on a free.

i have no idea how work permits work! Freddy Adu hasnt played ANY internationals, nor has he played 75% of games for his club in the past 2 years, so there's no way he should get a work permit, yet some people get one right away.. what did you have to do to get it accepted?

When it was initially rejected, I appealed and got it.

It isn't just that, if a player is judged to have exceptional skill (esp. for his age) then he will be given a work permit regardless of international appearances.

hmm, i guess he must just be crap in my game then.. i've signed him about 20 times only to have it rejected every time!

Not really, I gave them 1mil so i can purchase him for 1.5 mil at a later date thus saving alot because in the next 2 years he will be worth much more than 2.5 mil
