COZMOOO !!!!

you're the MAAAN ;)

everything you said is absolutely right.

even a brainless "marketing" executive wouldn't say bad things about "HIS" game.

about defending the game, i think it can defend itself perfectly!

I got the patch ( forgot the name ) and set the "never ending game" feature on.. I LOVE IT ! even though it's only 1 "half" and it never ends, i don't get bored and i don't wanna quit the game!

"it's not even going to necessarily be a FIFA-beater."
loooooooooooooooooool !!
if that exective said this, then he either didn't play the game, or... didn't play the game !!

In what way is Cozmo's post great? He throws doubt on something he refuses to believe! That doesn't make it not true! Plus, unless Cozmo personally knows the writer at Computer & Video Games then what the heck would it matter who wrote it at the magazine. As for calling them an unreliable source, they're infinitely more credible than he is!

More denial and pretending to have brains and belittle others with it!

is sad when such fanboyism clouds people judgement about a quote.. EA made the game in 4 months.. is basically fifa 2004 with a different interface and a couple of more tricks.

Clearly aimed at the mass market, EA is happy to admit that it's attempting to ensnare Euro-crazed football fans. In a somewhat Ratner-esque statement, a senior marketing executive openly proclaimed: "I want to be honest with you and say that this game is not going to be a PES-beater - it's not even going to necessarily be a FIFA-beater." As for the good news, it promises to be "the deepest event-product we've ever brought to release", the idea being that once you've seen the match and got the shirt, you buy the game.

Now . . . Who should shut his ****in` mouth up ???

To me it seems some of you guys take this quote out of context, or the website that produced it did.

To me it seems that they would be talking about Euro 2004 not beating WE& or FIFA 2004 in SALES, not gameplay.

Anyway, that's the way I took it when I first read it. Think about it. Why would people outside Europe really want to buy this game, unless they are just huge fans of football. It is aimed directly at the European market to capitalize of this huge event. That's why I think the quote was more about sales of the game, than acutal gameplay.

hehe the typical, lame reply right on que - much expected too, only i did think you'd come up with something better (being the redneck WE7/PES supporter who tries to appear reasonable at times)...Anywayz, let me address the mess you just came up with - I don't "refuse to believe" anything that isn't proven to exist in the first place - it's called being suspicious (and rightly so, given the nature of the quote)

Now, the reason why I was questioning the motives of the writer, is that people wouldn't normally include include such a quote, unless they had an agenda - and that, my friend, is why it matters who writes a review, because a reviewer is supposed to be objective (hopefuly you know what that means).

As to me not being a credible source :D that was a nice one. Tell me at which point was I trying to be a "source", as far as I was aware I was just giving my opinion. And "denial" is the state that you have been in, ever since you started posting on a fifa forum, with the obvious intention of flaming it.
Normally, i wouldn't flatter you with such a long explanation (which naturally won't be enough to have any impact whatsoever on you, cos you're a one way street, you just blurt out whatever happens to be on your mind and you're happy) but I was bored - bah, it happens. Oh, hmm is it too much to ask of you to actually *think* before you post next time? On a second thought, it probably is...;)

Wolf seems pretty interested in EURO 2004, why he keeps bottering in answer in this threads? Go play WE, don't waste your time, you seem like a leader of some kind of fanatic group trying to catch more people to your "religion"... get a life, and you even call fanboy to the other... :crazyboy:

I expexted a more smart AI from my teamates... Keep in mind that I also see crap like this in FIFA 2004 - this is why I say that there is room for improvment for both games...

...I do not know if Cosmo is right or not but I also would like to hear the name and the possition he has on EA, that said his opinion about EURO 2004, before I believe it...

I really don't know... cause i've been playing WE (we3...) long before the word PES is invented. I didn't get that problem. I agree everything can be improved.... otherwise, they won't come out with newer versions! ;)

You know m8, sometimes - EA does this often - the new versions are out only for commercial reasons - as I said before, I think that EA could use some of the new stuff of EURO 2004 in FIFA 2004, but now they give something more, just to pay around 70 euros, which is the retail price of the PS 2 version in Greece. I do not like this but since I love FIFA 2004 I will probably buy EURO 2004, but... I WILL TRY IT FIRST!!! I have the EURO 2004 Demo PC version but the PC version of FIFA 2004 compared to the PS2 version is crap - the frame rate on my PC is ****ed up...

Anyway, I would like to play with players that play FIFA 2004 & PES 3 so I can learn from everybody, but my age - 32 years old - does not help me find mates here in Greece. Today I arrange to go play real soccer - 5 vs 5 - and I would like to see if I can do the freestyle things I do in FIFA 2004 in real life - hahahahaha!!!

See you...

I love the gameplay of WE or PES, but FIFA and EA have it right w/ the liscenses. It just adds to the realism. I have FIFA 2004 and even though the gameplay has sever flaws, it's my game of choice so I will not hesitate to pick up Euro 2004.

Cool, I like playing 5 on 5 in basketball courts. Glad to know you're still playing soccer at that age. Most men would just sit around and drink beer all day long! :)

I aint gonna listen to any Fifa basher or PES basher. My experience is what matters to me. I am an adult with my own mind/needs/opinions. And this is my experience.
I have played Fifa, PES, WE11 and they all are dissapointments in comparison to the game I have played watched and loved for about 3 decades. I really dont care who makes the game that lives up, I have no predjudices. But I am playing this Euro 2004 game and having fun. Hope the full game makes me feel the same. If it doesnt, then I hope next WE11 does.
But some plonkers have already written it off because its EA.
I already switched off from listening wot Wolf,Cro and their cronies have to say. You will not get an objective word on this matter from them I promise you.

One more thing. The guy who says he has never seen a single person switch from PES to Fifa. Well here I am. I switch back and forwards all the time when I am tired of the ****e from the one and have forgotten about the ****e in the next one.
