sorry, but not having win xp myself, I can only suggest what others have told me, which is that this patchworks for the majority of people

well, Ive looked for it in the dl center and found a 1.1 version. I installed it and still no good. I told EA about the proble, and they told me to change the compatability of the .exe file and STILL...
Thing is, maybe the 1.1 is not the latest, its dated sometime 99, so maybe some nice feller here who has the right patch like this Clipper dude can help me by sending it to my email [email protected]?

btw if it finally works I would love to play with whoever wants. Im very very good.

well unfortunately you cannot play fifa99 online, only via modem to modem connection.

The latest version of the patch is version 1.1, and I have just checked thro my e-mails, and I have hd reports of it niot working for some ppl.

EA would tell u that it doesn't work, they have tol others that there's nothing they can do, then the patch has worked

Well as you may found out Steve ;) Ive managed to make the game work by downloading a file which I cannot mention here! ;)

Still I wish I shouldnt have, cuz now the game is skipping from time to time and of course in the middle of the opponent attacking :rolleyes:

Anyhow hope you upload my jersey soon. And thx. :)

I have downloaded update for this great game, and installed it. Doesn't work :(
But it seems that there's something wrong with the update file, because it actually doesn't update any files for me! So, any solution to this?

Btw, I have an oem version of this game.

Things are getting pretty interesting...:p
So, as I said in my last post the patch doesn't update any files for me. So I tried searching the files which the patch unpacked, and found 'em (I used Window's in built searching engine and found them from a temporary folder).
Then I looked at the patch.ini, and found nfo about where should I move those updated files. So, now I have updated my game by overwriting the old files with new updated files I mentioned earlier. And you know what, the game actually works!

BUT, the game still doesn't behave as it should be. It seems to run ½ from it's real speed. Hopefully somebody could help me figure out this problem:rolleyes:

as far as I am aware, this patch does not resolve issues with Windows 2000.

However I believe that our old friend Galah has advised that in some instances the patch available for download from http://geocities.com/burntbranch may resolve the issues,

although having loked at the site this morning, there is no mention of support for windows2000.
