I've joined this forum for the express purpose of learning more about Fidel's mods.
I've tried one or two mods out there, and so far I think yours is the best. So very well done and thank you for your hard work.
Basically I'll try an PM you if that's more suitable, but I was wondering which version you believe to be the best. If anyone else wants to tell me which one they think is best then be my guest.
I've tried 5.1 because it was the latest and you use words like "ultra-realistic" to describe it compared 5.0, but is it slower because you believe it to be more realistic? Anyway I'm really just interested into which one you use, but realism is my top quality.

I think v5.1 is the best version I have tried so far. It is slower than others, but not slower than real life. I suggest to play in "legend" difficulty level, and with ALL controller options set to MANUAL. That is not only to make the the game more difficult, the point is to be you, the player, who control the whole aspects of the game, and so each movement of the ball is funny.
The only thing I'm not agree with the game is the defense reactions and the long passes. Defenders run slow and behave stupid when you change the control to another player, and sometimes the opponent (CPU) scores without obstacles. Also the gameplays forces me to play with too many short passes. That happend because I have control over short passes, but it is difficult to do with long ones. This game would be "perfect" if I had a button in my joystick (the "X" button now) to perform manual passes with the power, height, and ball curve effect I consider. I think that a football game could be done perfectly with just only that ONE button to hit the ball, but of course should let you doing everything you want to do, without any restriction, only the restriction of your own hability and practice.
I must say that I never play tournaments or cups, I only run the game and play a free match against whatever team, using the behind/top camera and my Nvidia 3d glasses..., and sometimes a feel like I would be there. Anyway the best football game I have ever played, although not perfect.

But I have a question about the gameplay.
Is it possible to change the referee strictness - I mean that the cpu opponent will become more cards as now.
Also I want that the cpu is more aggressive (foul) .
I hope you can give me more info about this.

in the game under game settings, past visual audio etc there should be user game settings and cpu game settings or something like that with a whole lot of values which you can change.

I would like to know how to increase the amount of AI long shot's... yes I was reading this topic and i found that "torpedo007" was talking about that but I don't get it :P I found topic by this gentleman with commands that should improve this but plz somebody can explain what they exactly do?

As no one really responded to my question, could someone please confirm if I am running the installation right?
Basically there are one or two things that I'm not sure about, the main one being whether or not I should be checking Commentaries/Patches and Cards on the i68Regenerator. The readme file says when it pops up, to simply highlight take care of edited files and click OK, but as Card and Commentaries are unchecked should I leave them that way?
Secondly, are the suggested slider settings suppose to be the same for both AI and CPU unless stated? By this I mean should I leave the CPU settings to default as only two slider settings have two different figures in Fidel's post. Hopefully you understand what I mean.
I think that's everything, except for one thing that I don't think I can explain properly; I'll give it a go mind. As I'm a little OCD I have to completely remove Fifa and all its components including mods before I try to install new add ons. The readme file tells you to create a new profile after installation, it now seems like a completely stupid question as when you first install the game you have to create a new profile. Anyway I'll continue, does that mean that I should install first, create a new profile; then install Fidels patch and create a new profile? Probably not,

Hey, I've used Fidel's patch before. So I think I could answer your questions. By this, I assume that you downloaded the db and AI 2.0 and installed them to your game folder.
After you've done that, run the regenerator, and it doesnt matter that cards and commentaries are unchecked, Fidel's patch does not include modifications of such. So leaving it as it is and selecting take care of edited files and clicking OK would do.
A way to check if the patch works is to turn on the game and go to manchester united (i use man U all the time) and assuming that you did install the DB that includes latest winter transfer, you will see Paul Scholes. If Paul Scholes is not included, install or regenerate again.
I don't use the slider settings, but i would assume that you have to set them for both CPU and User , since if you only set them to User, that would put you at some disadvantage.
I used my old profile and buttons setting. Just install the game, download the patch and install it, regenerate, and run the game then do the settings if you don't have them already.
