Strike 1: You can manage clubs in PES. It's in the player settings. You effectively fiddle with formations and player settings and see if it works. Then you can flip the controls to control the team, if you want.

Not too dis-similar to FIFA 06's manager mode thingy.

Show me a patch that allows us to modify how many teams can fit into a league in the ML, because I sure as hell ain't seen any.

Why? I like having 30 games + cup games for a season.

Yea I can edit the way the AI cheats and I can also edit the animations etc, plus I can edit the ML structure so why am I complaining?

Some referees are homers. It's a fact of football. The AI doesn't cheat. It's just ocasionally too physical. Some physical challenges go amiss in the real game. Konami are trying to replicate it. The animations are pretty solid, as far as I'm concerned. Obviously not perfect, but it looks smooth.

Why would Konami want to turn it into a management clone!? It's a football sim, in their eyes. They do not wish to represent the financial management side of the game. As horrifying as this may sound to you, different companies have different agendas. It doesn't make it a glaring omission.

Muh? It's a ******* game! The concept of the ML is that all of Europe plays. Now, they've got a limited number of licenses and club spots, so they allow you to stick multi-national leagues together. Doesn't make it a bad thing.

The CPU may cheat but in PES5, most of the tackles and fouls seem legit.

Have you played PES5? Have you seriously considered the mechanics of the game?

Konami have made it so you can play a full 38 games in a season in master league now. plus cup comeptitions and so on. Fifa have made manager mode which is going away from the fact its a videogame not an educational software package. Although i would never insult Si games as there football manager is brilliant and i'm a fan. But i used to be so into fifa that i used to be just like you ignoring the obvious facts. I used to open my mouth so much until i gave this game a try. I couldnt believe my eyes. PES2 was a classic that made me ignore fifa completely. Fifa to me in 2004 was frustrating, annoying and the scripting was pathetic.

Someone also said that the atmosphere was nonsense and like playing table soccer!!! i admit the atmosphere hasnt been good since pes2. even that was not great. But the next gen consoles promises to eradicate that and get some more chants in there. Not just turkish and norwegian chants. NO offense meant. Fifa has better sound at this moment. I believe Konami will address all issues for the next gen.

Like someone already said in Fifa is it possible to miskick, miss the ball completely, apply too much power and sky a shot because the timing was wrong???? Noooooooo...Fifa have already lost in the gameplay aspect!!!

When it comes to sponsors, licenses, graphics and sound fifa wins hands down. But Seabass the producer has promised to have everything official by pes6 in a years time. So it will soon dominate and have EA losing there license!!

Look the league is that, a f*cking league, since when was teams like Chelsea and Liverpool playing in the god damn Bundesliga? is it so bloody hard to think for one minute, all they could do was make it use proper leagues, it ain't that hard for god sake, you can have one for each country and 1 for the other.

So to sum it up seeing as nobody can read, having full leagues in the ML would help, if they can do it for the league mode itself why not for the ML? and no, the ML ain't made so European teams can play, like I said this is what the CL is for. Even giving us the option to choose how many teams we can have in the league would be great, because then you lot who adore the ML could play with the sh*t setup it has now.

Konami doesnt have the 2nd division teams in the game, so for that it would be already impossible to create an league just like in real life. You can choose all teams from 1 country in division 1, but thats it. Divison2 would be teams from other countries anyway.

and just another note. Just because you dont like the ML doesnt mean its bad for others. And maybe Konami DID intend it to be a league where all european teams play. Because they dont have the champions league liscence. And maybe they did NOT intend it to be a league that reflects how it going in real life. Ever thought about that kingpug?

Not really. Play a league campaign. All you're missing out on are development and transfers. Besides, more teams take up more space. More stats, more individual players (instead of the generic, textured FIFA players).

Do you want to prove you don't play PES? Stop comparing the ML to FIFA's management mode. The ML is supposed to be the UEFA Champions League, but EA owns the license so Konami calls it something else. You can play a proper league also, just pick League from the main menu. No its not FIFA's managment mode, its just a league and I play it all the time, and I am only against the other German temas like I should be.

P.S. Do you not know how to use the QUOTE function of the forum? If not maybe you could at least use italics for when you are quoting people, nevermind, if you can't figure out how to quote, how can I expect you to know how to italicise.

What? You have customisable tournaments in PES. Simple fact is, EA have tied down the licenses for years to come. Hence, PES can only go for individual league licenses and the FIFPro license. Fact is, the Bundesliga, le Championnat, Serie A, Premiership, Erdedivisie and La Liga are all playable in PES.

You can edit the leagues if you dont want foreign teams in it. You stick to kids games. I'll stick to Pro Evolution. If Konami thought there game wasnt the best on the market i think they would make a lot more effort to fix it. But they know it is so all there doing is working on certian aspects of the game. Like the A.I.

Missing crowds. Well you cant have everything many people complained about slow down now thats been fixed at the expense of the crowd. o well.

Let me translate, you said if we wanted a league we should play the league mode, but the whole point of playing the ML is to buy players, something which can't be done in league mode, just for the record, the L in ML stands for LEAGUE not cup, ok?
