Depends on if you think it's fair that athletes are the only professionals who can't quit their job at any moment and go work somewhere else.
Makes sense in American sports because entry into a league also comes with membership into the players union, but FIFA's worldwide restrictions are dubious from a workers rights perspective IMO.

To be honest........I can't disagree here. I guess there is no proper balance in the system. I mean a club's right over under contract players and player's right to do what he wants. Its rather difficult to judge without being unfair to one party.
The Cesc situation......player wants to move to one club and one club only. Then the club who want him don't want to pay the asking price which the owning club values him at. The player refuses to communicate with his current club(refuses training bla bla bla).
*If you don't let him go then its unfair on the player.
*You have to let go of its most valuable player and captain for less due to his classless attitude after having invested in him so much.
