hu???? I know I'm new to Fifa and don't have a lot of experience editing the game buit even i know how to add home and away training kits specific to each team. All you have to do is add an extra line in the fifa.db and use monkeydragon's kit editor to import the training kits.

i have plenty of teams with proper training kits in the game as we speak.

To all alpha testers: I already heard that there aren't many bugs in CM anymore. Rinaldo also confirmed the release-date last sunday for "in a week".
Are you optimistic about the release this weekend? It would be great, because this weekend I would have a lot time to work on my Patch.:shades:

Which files have you put in root folder? Kits? Faces? Adboards? Flags?... And Root folder is in Data?

To all alpha-testers: I wanted to ask, what's the deal with captain's armbands? Can we import the ones with the bigger size? And individual teams have individual armbands?

Personally I'm not so optimistic. If you want a program that works, but sometimes doesn't make what you want, like fifadata if someone knows what i'm talking about, the CM beta will be released sunday. If you want a program that works almost perfectly (maybe with less functions, but perfectly): man, you have to wait. This is what I think, maybe other testers or Rinaldo can tell you something different ;) I hope a soon release like you but most I want a program that works good, not to create bugged patches ;)

P.S. The FMU does not exist anymore...

Anything that affects the 'shape' of the saved data files will cause a problem, including (but possibly not limited to) the number of players and the number of teams in the database. There is also the issue of the strings held in FIFA.DB, which are referenced as offsets and thus get disconnected (in potentially crash inducing ways) when data in FIFA.DB moves around.

Having said all that, I've been playing with trying to achieve this for FIFA 07 (it was one of the original ideas for my patch rollup utility, but fell at the second hurdle - because I got the infamous 'Unable to load ...' message even after I'd changed the layout of an existing career to match the table sizes in the rolled up database) and I believe that it can be done, provided that a copy of the database from which the career was created is kept.

However, whilst this isn't at the top of my 'to do' list, if I am to even attempt to automate such an adjustment I would need a whole raft of examples of manager (and tournament) mode data files with the FIFA.DB (and ENG.DB) from which they were built (because I need to figure out exactly how the layout of the saved data changes when the tables in FIFA.DB are updated). So, anyone that is interested in such a facility, please feel free to email to me (via the Send email option that comes up if you click on my name in the left hand pane) ZIPped up copies of the relevant files for either FIFA 07 or FIFA 08 and that might encourage me to try and write something (bearing in mind that I don't edit my own FIFA at all, so I will need some incentive to even start such an undertaking).

Of course, there is a kicker to all this - before anyone points out that we can't make changes to the FIFA 08 saved data files - in that I've figured it out, and some of what I've discovered explains why FIFA 07 would sometimes refuse to load files too!! Existing beta testers of EAFFAnalyser can look forward to a version that handles fixture decongestion for FIFA 08, just as it does for FIFA 07, and if there is anyone out there that hasn't expressed an interest in beta testing because all they were really after was that feature then please email me and I'll add you to my list of beta testers.

Another side effect of this, and likely to appear much sooner than anything for re-shaping career data files, is that I will be putting together a routine to merge custom formation data into the manager mode data (I've already proven I can do it manually, I just need to pull together the various bits of code to automate it). Again, if you are interested in beta testing such a utility then please let me know.

I am no sure that is possible because every team in tha game uses the sam coloured armbands and therefore I think EA have assigned one band to all the teams

So what does this mean? No more creation master after this year? Please do the best you can on CM08. I want the program to be released as much as the next gamer but, if i gotta wait then I gotta wait. I really am looking forward to it because it make your gaming exiperence so much better.

Meh, as long as CM will be fairly stable and I can easily import kits, fonts, boots and balls, it will be a perfect program for me! :p

Just one question to alpha testers: Has the wait time for, say, importing kits shortened? For example, can we import kits faster than the last CM?
