FIFA is good but still miles behind PES

I've been playing a lot of FIFA in the past few days and i must say it's an improvement but it's still miles behind regarding realism.

The last FIFA i bought was Fifa 99 and games before that and the thing i realised is that there are still sweetspots in FIFA 2005. The corners are ridiculous in FIFA 2005, play it and you'll know what i mean, there's no freedom like you get in PES games. Free kicks are very unrealistic aswell, almost anyone can score in FIFA 2005 whereas in PES it's very very rare.

FIFA 2005 has been enjoyable on Live so far because it's the only footy game that works but when PES comes out, it will remain top because the realism in PES is amazing.

I agree. Free kicks and corners have to go, simple as that.

About the freedom of the game, I think it's because only the 3 or 4 players nearest the ball do anything useful. The rest of the 2 teams just run along in formation, not even thinking about running into space (Off the ball bollocks doesnt count).

What is up with FIFA's animations?? It just feels plain clunky, with no rythmn to the play at all.

FIFA05 is finally better than 98(interface aside), but PES3 is still miles ahead, let alone PES4.

If Club football can eradicate some of it's flaws then i'm confident it will overtake FIFA gameplay wise. FIFA is like Titanic, rubbish film but sold really well like, FIFA outsells other fooy games all the time but it isn't the best.

i really like this years fifa menus,the soundtrack is bloody awesome...but the game itself isn't!iea really knows how to place a product,but they don't know anything about how to create that product proper...yuck.

CF series is said to be a real contender for the PES series, if not now, but in the next few years. It is said to have a huge potential and will be a better game than FIFAs. I`m anticipating the new CF more than FIFA, cos from what I read there is significant improvement gameplay wise and better graphics than those blured, and stretched graphics of EA`s . . .

Not at the moment anyway. The only game that competes with PES is FIFA.

CF 2005 just has too many problems. For example players just run into goals, scoring own goals, without you having any control over it. And if you thought one on ones were difficult in FIFA, then try them in CF2005. CF2005 needs a lot of tweaking before it can compete with the big two.

plus forget about pes3 in comparision to fifa 2005, now is much better pes4

Though i am playing FIFA 2005 a lot on live lately, i have to say even though it's improved, it still doesn't feel right. I would say even the original PES is much better than FIFA in gameplay terms. The only thing i say FIFA is good regarding the gameplay, it's the shooting because in the past PES shots have felt very floaty but having played PES 4 they've improved that aswell.

Actually. I haven't heard one reasonable argument why Fifa suck from Fifa mooners only that set-pieces suck and the ball is like a balloon but that doesn't make the hole game suck

Fifa's gamplay isn't up to par yet, still feel as though I'm not in complete control of my players. It's still arcadey with inaccurate stats, that's what bothers me the most.

muahahahaha, PES owns, fifa fans have started threads saying fifa 2004 sucks cuz they have fifa 2005 now (which sucks as well) but i remember before fifa 2005 was out, they said fifa 2004 was better than PES3,....:crazyboy:

Fifa 2005 felt just as 2004 from the moment I ran the game the first time.

Almost same menus and **** and same graphic. Balloon ball...

PES4 will be much better I think... If they contionue on PES3 and not change to much it will rock.
