Apologies for the long silence. The next version is progressing very well, good progress has been made with some squad updates and some new leagues. If all projects are completed, it could be a unexpectedly big update for new leagues. I will not confirm any until they have been tested in career mode though. I will hint that a strong majority of the new leagues are expected to be UEFA ones.
I think this would a good time to get some opinions on the upcoming version reorganization as it will start very soon. My preference is for less versions rather than more. I plan to use league ID swaps so original FIFA 16 leagues are not required to be in every version. Please note that sometimes I will not know if a version will stay within limitations until it is built.
My original plan was the following versions:
-UEFA A (all additional UEFA top flight leagues)
-UEFA B (additional UEFA lower leagues)
-UEFA C (additional UEFA lower leagues)
-CONMEBOL/CONCACAF
-AFC/CAF
Please try to be realistic with suggestions. For example, all leagues or all UEFA leagues in a single version is not possible.
Some initial questions to help make decisions:
-If it is possible to merge UEFA B and UEFA C, would you be happy for all non UEFA leagues to be removed to do this? If not, which ones should be kept?
-If it is possible to merge AFC, CAF, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL versions to a single ROW version, would you be happy to see UEFA reduced to only about 8 top flight leagues in this version?
If you have opinions for the version rearrangement, please check this thread regularly as if I post further questions, I will only wait a short time before making decisions.
I am not sure if the pitch line colour can be changed. If yes, it should be possible to enable it during snow matches.
It should be possible, the basic version defiantly has plenty of room for expansion. The other versions are more limited.
Ideally it would be possible to have a single UEFA version, but this will not be possible. Depending on how many new UEFA leagues are added to V7.2, the total could be quite large. It would be great if it could be reduced to two UEFA versions, but I would also be content to just avoid expanding beyond three. The player names limit will be a major limitation as well as other compdata limitations.
I did test the formation expansion technique briefly and it seems to work. I want to test it further before applying though. The same applies to league ID swaps. After the release of V7.2, I want to take a break from developing this patch until September. I really do not want to spend several extra weeks reorganizing the versions again and then preparing for an additional release because of problems.
No, no updates have been made since last season to the faces so far.
EA will typically omit players under the age of 17 for licensing reasons. The Palmeiras squad was made by the patch team. He will be added in V7.2.

The mistake was ultimately my fault for not noticing and correcting this.
V7.0 or V7.1? If V7.1, give more details.
Just delete all rounds prior to the final and fill it with the two teams.
I would strongly recommend a clean installation. I would not expect installing V7 over V6 to cause any crashes but there would likely be issues with some graphics which would not be overwritten. For example, kit overlays.
I could not replicate this. What team did you play as and in what version? The pre season tournaments are usually omitted if fixtures are scheduled in the first maybe 3 weeks of the season start but the first fixtures are after this for the League of Ireland.

It would make sense for the one missing Euro 2024 finalist to be added.
You can add new kits without damging a career as long as you do not save with CM16. If you only saved once, you can recover your previous DB from the "fifa_ng_db.db.bak" file by renaming it "fifa_ng_db.db". Assuming you did not make any manual edits, also try restoring the compdata via FIP Tournament Manager.
In the future, I would strongly recommend backing up your version with FIP Version Manager so you can restore it if this happens again.
