FIFA Converter (Models & Textures)

Telega12

Reserves
hi tokke001, guys,
does anybody knows why for conversion 13 to 14 some faces have ears black (like with mouth/teeth texture) when trying to apply different hair model? The same remains even when i change format of face texture to 14, i.e. when switch ears to proper placement and on the bottom replace it with ´14 mouth texture...

What is funny, from specific angle the ear texture is normal.

View attachment 67144

Another observation is the face + head works ok when deleting any hairload/hair texture files.

You need edited bump, rename with your id

had it there with original player´s ID already. I was just checking the face under different player as was getting that CM15 error where you cannot see face preview, and there was bump missing actually.

Thanks a milion :) what an elementary mistake :D

Use the bump and player.lua from this (obsolete right now) converter and the ears and teeth will be right

@redo1000 lol I forgot to put the link from the converter I meant xD
Inside there's the bump and the lua I mean

Hi @tokke001 , I have a little error converting textures
I tried to convert Fifa 09 and fifa 10 CR7 face to Fifa 14, and in both faces I have this "error"

As you can see, it's like the hair texture doesn't show properly
That's Fifa 10 case, but in Fifa 09 it's exactly the same (I had decompressed the textures before converting)
This is how it look in CM

And also, it only shows 1 hair texture instead of the 2 that all faces use
I should test on other fifas too

with older games (FIFA 11 or older),
the hair textures are different :
1. splitted files
at older games, the 2 hair textures (RGB and color text), are in 2 seperate files :
hair\hair_*_texture.rx3
hair\haircolour_*_texture.rx3

at newer games (FIFA 12 or newer), there is 1 hair rx3 with the 2 textures in it

2. Texture format

the texture format of FIFA 14 is different,
this may give the "shiny hair" bug (ingame) if wrong :

* fifa 11 or older : uses DXT1 texture format
* newer fifa : DXT5 texture format (with alpha channel)

I can imagine creating one file from two files, but is there a way to fix this shininess in DXT1 textures?

When I converted faces 11 to 14 by tokke weeks ago I worked with blender for the hair texture. Extract the two images from the RX3s. Resize the haircolor file as in fifa 14, opacify the image to 8% and import the two images on a rx3 14 with blender. This way you have no missing data (black areas) in the texture.

@tokke001 Is there a way to convert NG FIFA 21 update faces to Switch? This will make things easier for conversions to FIFA16. @Dmitri is trying to investigate this, but he needs help!

What is "NG fifa 21" maybe ?

If they are fbx files,
I cant work with : only rx3 and rx2

The next-gen FIFA21 faces which are released with title updates.

They are the .fbx files, yes. But I am wondering if it's possible to convert from .fbx to Switch .rx3.

And how could I attach the hair textuers with your tool?
I did it manually in CM15 and it doesn't look good

This time with Fifa 08 face

EDIT: I had a little mistake with the first texture, it's like cm didnt "accept" it and I had to downgrade it

It's strange because it looks good in one of the rendering modes, but look at this:

This is how it looks ingame + mid-shiny hair
Captura de pantalla (842).png

And this is the other rendering mode, which it's how it should look ingame but it doesn't

for the coeff texture :
i think the Green channel needs be removed :
u ll see the big yellow space becomes red...
->at FIFA 11, i know this (if wrong) may cause shineness ingame
->newer games, i am not sure if this fix is needed (Dmitri didnt always do for his FIFA 14 faces for example)
so not sure if this is correct solution, more experienced hair modders may know ?

for the color texture :
i would recommend using CG File Explorer 16, or my import tool option
dont use CM: the png import will give indeed errors (black spaces on texture)
also you changed the alpha channel correctly (8 % i think) ?
see also this post : http://soccergaming.com/index.php?threads/fifa-converter-models-textures.6468102/post-6651802

i ll also add at next tool version,
some new options to improve these things :
* "Combine hair-textures" -> go from old format (2 files) to 1 rx3 file
* options for removing RGB channels, changing alpha channel

for now, best way to work (example iniesta id41) :
1. export textures :
tab "textures" > export > "export png"
* hair_41_0_0_textures.rx2 (coeff texture)
* haircolour_41_0_0_0_0_textures.rx2 (color texture)

2. edit :
2.1 coeff texture :
* remove Green channel
2.2 color texture
* add alpha channel 8 %

3. rename files
3.1 coeff texture :
* "hair_41_0_textures_1.png"
3.2 color texture
* "hair_41_0_textures_2.png"

4. import textures :
tab "textures" > import > "import png"
* "open png" : "hair_41_0_textures_1.png" and "hair_41_0_textures_2.png"
* "select folder with RX3 files" : just select an empty folder

Ok, I did that and these are the results:
Captura de pantalla (843).png

Captura de pantalla (844).png

Now it works ok, but you can look at that mid-shiny hair, now it look a lot better than before but idk if I didn't imported the alpha channel in the color texture as I should did but idk. The coeff texture is ok

EDIT: Here is a better ingame picture

I would try :
Use a face texture of a original fifa 16 face, see if the problem still exist ?
-> to find out if the cause is the model or the face texture...

If the cause is model :
It could be the original model is bugged
But try convert with option "update vertex format" disabled

Maybe he converted FIFA 14 face based on Dmitri's conversion from Switch?

I tried converting with "update vertex format" option disabled, still the same.I also try to use another head part paired with the converted face part, normally only when paired with the converted head part, it fails

It is like said here :

Fifa 16 face textures has a coeff/bump texture,
Fifa 14 not
-> if u just copied the rx3 file, the coeff/bump texture will be missing...
