FIFA 22 - Faces (Starheads U6-10) [Fix v1.2]


like some noticed,
there were some problems with the transparency (alpha channel) of the hair textures
this was a bug in my tool when compressing the textures

example of the bug at FIFA 11:

no release date yet, because i m also working on other projects


generic head types i can not convert from FIFA 22 pc,
because they work different
-> FIFA 22 pc generic heads works with "morph files" :
there s one common head-model, wich gets deformed with a morph file for each generic type

but at first look, i think FIFA 22 switch generic head-models fits on FIFA 22 pc generic hair !

yesterday a new FIFA 22 pc patch was released:
there were no interesting graphics (wich i can convert) in it

1 new face was added :
a new alternative face (var1) for Raul Jimenez (204838),
i think it is his old face (without hairband) wich got added again
--> we already have this face from older updates (switch/pc by Dmitri), so i wont do it again

no balls/shoes/trophies were edited or added

Tokke001, I tried opening a squad file and found out the dcplayernames didn't match in anyway with the players table.. I also checked with the original FIFA 22 DB and they didn't match.. is there anyway I can convert a squad file to DB and have correct names, I usually work with DB most times..

It should match,
* Make sure u have the correct database :
If the squads are from fifa 22 pc, the database needs be from fifa 22 pc
(Dont confuse with fifa 22 switch! )

Merged the dcplayernames & playernames tables to 1 table ?

* conversion needed: they are in Frostbite-skeleton !

I think that FIFA 22 has also 3D generic facial hair. What about them mate? Did you convert them, as well? How do they work?

Yes, That s something i am going to work on next :
3d beards :)

They are seperate "facialhair" files: model & textures are similar format to generic hair

Depending on what "facialhairtype" Is set in the database, the facialhair gets loaded

* At older fifas (16 or older), only facial textures are used :
u can check the folder "data\sceneassets\genheadtex"
* At fifa 22 pc, some facialhairtypes have models
-> I hope if we make edits to players.lua we can force the game to load facialhair-models

seems that there are some serious issues there. first of all, if we really need to use the Switch head models, then we'll face the bug that occurs from the conversion: chest bursting out of the jersey. then I spotted some other issues, like for example with hair_53 (ponytail), with which in game I witnessed jagged vertices covering my screen (might be the issue dmitri solved with the simhair files). and finally, the most puny of the issues, the flat preview inside CM16
one last thing, the hair are also wrong named, need one less digit

thanks for testing, i tried some at FIFA 11 but not all
FIFA 16 is a different game again...

simhair is something from FIFA 16, and i m sure how to edit that
i ll see if the model works at FIFA 11

it might also be the bones that are used:
the skeleton from FIFA 11-16 has a bone for "ponytail", wich dont exist at FIFA 22 (and is therfore not used)
. and finally, the most puny of the issues, the flat preview inside CM16
that might be because the hairmodels uses 32bit position floats:
this is done for better precision, but might not be supported by CM16

it is same problem that also accured to Dmitri his faces

if u want to use the default FIFA 16 format: 16bit floats
with my FIFA converter:
at model-convert > disable option "update vertexformat"

I think the Raul Jimenez face the we already converted with headband looks good.

. Including accessories by merging seems good idea. But my doubt is that this will be time consuming to you do all the Generic hair. Since there will be a ton of hair models in the generic section .!
