1. unrealisticly fast running and passing
2. when shooting on goal ball flies like bullet no matter who shoots or what pressure is applied to attacker
3. constant succesfull stepovers and fancy dribbles by everyone on the pitch (circus)
4. goals every 30 seconds,
5. perfectly precise passes by everyone everytime
6. such a large open areas on the pitch where you can run or pass
7. stupid lame defending from both sides, there's no real pressure on attacking side whatsoever, looks like some amateur league
8. the whole pace of the game, it's too damn fast. it looks about the same pace as in EA's NHL series, but this is football you know.
If you ever watch real football matches you should've known.

1. Running doesn't seem fast to me, it doesn't look any faster than PES.
2. When are the shots like a bullet when under pressure? Reyes goal didn't go like a bullet but when in like most overhead kicks. And Shevchenko's shot where he got away from his defender via first touch didn't go like a bullet either, despite him getting away from the pressure.
3. Do you know what difficulty level this is on? If so please tell me. And I don't see any defenders doing fancy tricks. Players like Ljungberg, Henry and Shevchenko are capable of doing tricks successfully. When they do stepovers they 90% of the time are successful in real life.
4. Is this a fact? Can you decide that just by watching this gameplay video? Surely EA would show an interesting video rather than 0-0. And with Arsenal goals every 30 seconds is pretty realistic. ie. refer to Arsenal vs. Middlesbourgh - that is entertainment for you. The game is meant to be fun.
5. First 5 seconds of the video Reyes' pass gets intercepted.
6. Well that's good to see. I thought that Euro 2004 didn't have enough space to run into in the final third. It seems this year we'll be able to use the wings and put some crosses in. But I would expect on harder difficulties that there won't be as much space.
7. Again, do you know the difficulty level? As for the player, it's his fault for the "lame" defending.
8. Matches are condensed into 6 or 8 minutes so everything needs to be a little bit faster. If the game was purely simulation then FIFA and PES are both way off because both games should be played over 90 minutes with 2-1 scorelines. But it doesn't seem unrealistically fast. I watch Arsenal week in, week out and they play fast football like this.

Sure, FIFA will be more "arcadish" than PES. That's just the way it is. They are different games. FIFA is never going to go ultra simulation as they've said in one of their interviews. FIFA just offers a different style to PES so all fans should be pleased. I get sick of all the criticism FIFA gets just because it's not 100% like PES. I loved PES3 but FIFA 2005 looks like a great game in it's own right. There's no doubt I'll be getting both of them.

Hehehe, welcome to the real world. Honestly, whas anybody of you really suprised. The producer's diary ain't damn sure made for us, it's made for themself so they can promote the game. I bet everything i own they make up those questions themself to. C'mon, in the first video (diary1) they spend like 2 minutes about telling us saving ingame. Yeah, that's what we all want to know, that's the first thing i wanna find out if when any new game is coming out...

If you want to find out about other stuff then have a look at the 3 previous producer diaries. Or the "what's new" video, or the first touch video.

Oh I've seen them all... And they present what they wan't to in their order. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that it is displayed like the questions comes directly from the users in here and on ea's boards or whatever. That just gets under my skin...

Take a look at the gameplay video, and pause it around the center circle.

Taking a look at the players' feet, and comparing that to the center circle radius (FIFA submits "A circle with a radius of
9.15 m (10 yds) is marked around the centre mark") indicates that the players have been made smaller in order to open up the playing space on the field.

In my estimation, taking the foot of a player, and using it to measure the radius of the circle, leads to a radius of about 45 feet, or 14 to 15 yards.

Interesting. As long as it's not a sbustitute for authentic palyer movement (which it doesn't seem to be), it may not be that big a deal, but it does seem to be the case.

You folks enjoy this year's version.

The questions that are been answered, for what we thought was each month, was uploaded before diary 3 was released...wonderful. Isaac even says "thanks for sending in your questions this month", or something along those lines...

The movie goes into A.I, players skills, the database, the career mode and the crowd chants...

It even claims the demo will be out next month.

why did EA claim to be answering our questions...when our questions have already been answered?!

Hrvoje discovered this movie, give him all praise for this find.

Laters!

NK.

Has anyone noticed?

What's cool is that when Spain is playing Portugal they've got the Athens 2004 ball but then it's so stupid to see Man Utd vs New Castle! New Castle!!!! Even my mum knows that it's Newcastle.

I couldn't help but notice something. I went back and looked a little closer and I don't see a way to edit players attributes. From the menu, there is a created players list where I am sure you can edit them. Then there is team management which is the only place I can see that you would edit existing players, but once he goes into the team management window I didn't see a place to edit the attributes. He pulls up a list of the players, then you can select a player. You can then see their individual attributes, but there is NO option to edit these. Maybe it is somewhere else, but I just feel real skeptical about this. I have a feeling that we won't be able to edit existing players. :(
