well what do i do if my desktop isn't the same size as the game screen
go get the latest direct x from microsoft home page. just go to http://www.microsoft.com/ looking for direct x. i belive the latest version was directx 9.0c
WOW......and once again WOW, the first couple of hours i played the demo i wasn't sure whether i would really like it or not... now... i know i do!
Firstly, the skill moves, and first touch work really well (even doable easily on a keyboard), the aerial through pass is a joy to use.. and even if you don't actually use the actual first touch, the players very smoothly move the ball around when they are passed it (no more passing a ball to a player and having a lame first touch where you cannot chose which direction you want the player to move so you lose in tight situations.
I'm still playing on pro and having a blast, i still rely on normally passing (and thru passes) to build an attack, but features like first touch allow me that extra option in situations where previously i would always would've lost the ball in previous fifa's
I've already listed the other things i've really liked about this fifa, really the people who don't like it, god knows what they want.
Yes it isn't one of those Japanese Anime type football game, with super grandiose settings, and miles of space to speed through and all sorts of fancy touches which only a handful of players in the world do on a few occasions. If thats what you want then FIFA can get frustrating, but hey, if thats what you want, go play a different game, don't diss FIFA for something its not attempting to do

I played the demo today on the PS2 and wasnt very happy to be honest. You can do a few flicks and one touch passes, which is nice. But everything is still slow, the positioning of players aswell is shocking. Their guy is running towards my goal, and my defenders are jus sittin there smokin a cuban? I mean come on EA!
That's what annoys me, I like to zip the ball around hard and fast, but in Fifa you can't really do that without going backwards. It's annoying
It feels like they're running slower aswell? Hmm
Shootings the same, along with free kicks and corners. Im not sure whether they'll change it but it's pretty much the same.
The predator boots look nice I must say
what's the deal on boots? I kinda saw an all black F50? Will their be pulses + F50's in the final game?

The EA ball is only in the friendly matches if I recall correctly. When I played career mode I noticed a mitre ball (or puma, can't remember) being used. These balls can be unlocked if you want to use them in friendly matches.
EA have worked really hard to try and create a good game. And they have succeeded. I feel they have actually looked at the gameplay first and not at the licensing. Yes the shooting could use some work, but they have finally got it. The first touch is a great idea and some people just feel like that have to diss on fifa because they are afraid fifa is finally catching up to the PES and WE series.

NVIDIA GForceMX Integrated Video Card with 64MB Shared memory... The graphics on the demo are currently worse (when see during gameplay) than EURO 2004 on the same computer... When it goes to the replays the graphics are much better than 2004, it's just the gameplay. I don't know if they lower the graphics level for the demo or if my card is not that good. Anyway, I'm upgrading to an ATI Radeon 9200 with 128 MB Memory...
