Gamepad issue, cannot change controls

Getting quite annoyed at this small problem I have. I am using a Logic3 USB Rumble Gampad http://www.logic3.com/?page=shop/fl...=&ps_session=554f5e435d03be114287661a1a6374e0

I have the latest Windows XP drivers etc. I cannot change the Gamepad controls in Fifa 2005, when I go to the area to do this it just brings up the keyboard controls. When I press the left or right arrows nothing happens. I cannot play the game as the default controls are screwed.

Which Gamepad?

I maybe should have put this in the support/gamepads forum but I figured I'd get more replies here. If a mod or whatever wants to move it that's cool :)

I've got some spare money and want to invest in a new gamepad. I'm currently using a Saitek P220 which works very well but doesn't have the analogue feature to get the most out of FIFA '05. I've read up on various gamepads and am having trouble deciding which to go for as it seems there is a chance of running into problems whichever I get. I really like the look of the Saitek P880 and the Logitech Dual Action but would be willing to go for any others.

So what do you guys think? Which one should I go for? BTW I've read about mapping problems etc but I have had no problems with my Saitek P220 - so does this mean I wouldn't have any problems with a new gamepad? Many thanks in advance. :)

LOL I knew it wouldn't get any replies here, which is why I put it in the main forum. No worries though. Just a couple of opinions would be much appreciated. :)

HELP

I'm using the Joytech/ Play.com controller converter to play FIFA 2005.

I've solved the problem of continuous scrolling on the main menu by inserting two controllers.

I've also solved the continuous rumbling of the joypad by changing settings in "regedit"

The final problem, which remains unsolved is the right analogue stick (used in replays, free kicks etc), the directions don't work as they should.

Has anybody had this problem and has anybody managed to solve it?

I have the NYKO Airflo (USB), and it works 100%. My only nick-nack with it is I can't change the buttons. (example changing pass from button 1 to button 2)

New Gamepad wont work

Well, it's been a year since I bought my latest Gravis Gamepad Pro, and, as usual, it kicked off after a year. I bought this new one, and, unfortunately couldnt find a Gravis anywhere. I settled for the closest, called "Competition Pro Power Pad" It's the standard PS-type gamepad (without analog sticks).

Anyway, problem is when i started up FIFA '05 with the new gamepad, I couldn't access the controller configuration. It showed me the keyboard setup, but wouldn't change when i hit the arrows to go to gamepad config. Can anyone tell me how to fix this either via FIFA or manually by editing a file itself within FIFA?

Thanks.

Logitech - EXTREME 3D PRO

Can someone please tell me if the Logitech - EXTREME 3D PRO is ok to play with on the FIFA games ?
I now have a microsoft sidewinder precision pro joystick and that one is fine. But it will not last forever , and I can not find any new products (joysticks) from microsoft to buy anymore.
I do not want gamepads!

:(
I still don't have a freestyle button for my Sidewinder Gamepad Pro (New Silver one)... When ever I take free kicks and want to curve I have to swap to keyboard. So I can't even do any awesome freestyle moves.

Saitek Gamepads

I've been having problems with my Saitek PR2500 in FIFA 2005. I've found this thread at Saitek which might be useful.

Is there anyway to minimise controller lag online. This is my biggest frustration and it impossible to play 1st time passing.

Logitech Wing man cordless, has all the functions. No hassles at all....for those that have problems with the free kicks and deeking, make sure you get
a game pad with two joysticks...that's the only thing that worked for me.
I'm sticking with logitech...found that saitek sucks...good for fifa but bad for hockey.
Better yet do some research before you buy the gamepad.
