FIFA 2005 Controls and Gamepads Thread

I think corners and fouls will be exactly the same, at through ins you can move the receiver.

Fusion is in 2004 so u should know its for interacting with manager game (export manager game and play in Fifa 2005 and viseversa).

Practice mode has 6 different areas to select where to practice(field divided in 6 zreas), so i think there should be also PK practice.

Corners are not the same, in the video they said they were similar but not equal. The main change i saw is that now the camera is from far and not a close one so you not lose the players location view like in the corners of FIFA/EURO 2004 were sometimes you lose some rebounds at the corners cause of the close up view.

Maybe, but other than camera "broadcasting views" there is no difference as i saw and read. Same controls, same no of players and same tactics.

One more very important thing about Fifa 2005 is also EA DNA. When you go to Create Player mode and make the player as you like (with tons of available mods), you can see in the bottom of the screen a code called EA DNA.
You can distribute this code to enyone you like so that the same place is avilable to other ppl.

Something like the patches used in the PC. I say this is great, will be easy to keep squads updated even in consoles :)

i dont mind the jostling, its a good idea if done right.

3 men in the box is ****.
corners from last year allow only very few variations
woulnd't it be better if you could choose your power and accuracy and the spot to kick it and then the cursor would move depending on the stats of the kicker and the accuracy and the wind?
that way you would have to anticipate where the ball is going to land while it is in the air...
not only that, other players try to head the ball in too.

Obviously the reason they did it this way is for trying to simulate the "tough" 1 2 1 marking during corners. In this view it is a bit interesting. But there should be an option of taking a shot not based on the receiver, more or less as ishan sais. Anyway, corner is a small fraction of the game and i dont mind if its more or less the same, as long as the rest will be as good as expected...

Spanish video is about console version. Nothing told about

What i wrote is not from the spanish video.
As far as PC controls, i know that:

First touch
You can control the ball instantly with flick-ons or knocks into space by holding SHIFT and using the Arrow keys

Shooting
Use a chip shot (Q+D) to lift the ball over the keeper or send him the wrong way with a fake shot (C+D).

Passing
Manual through balls (Q+S) can be played into areas that do not contain team-mates, allowing you to pass into space and slice open the defence for fun.

Off the Ball
Use the attacking controls (Z then A/W) on the wing for pinpoint crosses.

Tackling
Get close to the ball carrier (Arrow Keys) to contest for the ball without fouling.

Thats it

Me2...
Except for the 'First Touch' controls, which were easy to guess:p:D

Also, i think we could catch the ball in the field limits as it used to be in FIFA WC2002... only with the arrow keys

Yea! don't you remember that in WC2002, when the ball was about to get out of the field, you could catch it.... that was very useful!!
Now in FIFA and EURO 04, you can't do that, players are so stupid they don't have a good "FIRST TOUCH":crazyboy: , you'll always lose it

So you are saying that when you create a player you have to put him on an existing team, can you not create your on team?

Yes, in the spanish Campus video, during the match that was played by two random guys they shown that it was a new feature, that the defender made a slide to not let the ball go out of the field.

That slide is like in Pes and is awesome but i think never was in a FIFA version, at least i don't remember and i played quite a lot WC 2002.

calm down ...
i don't know what's the problem with gamepads...
i bought a gamepad for $13... a pctronix dual shock gamepad and works fine...

The only problem i have is when i connect more than 1 gamepad... cos if i change the button config inside the game, it changes all gamepads.....

:f***:
