Do anyone beside me has an impression that since FIFA17 the ball is... too small? I mean both in gameplay and in replays? Firstly I thought it is just an optical illusion caused by texture/lighting, but now I can't unsee the fact that the physical size of ball model is too small comaparing to real life or older FIFAs. It looks more like a futsal-sized ball and other screenshots posted here seem to prove it.

You're right, haha. That ball is like half the half the size of what it should be. What the fuck?

Man, what are the odds you found photo from the same angle as some random screenshot posted here!

I am still not sure if it is "really" smaller or just perceivably (is this the correct word?). For me it definetly "feels" too small. Maybe it's the effect of 4K era? Last gen FIFA was being designed to look best on lower resolution screens so the ball and nets (which are almost invisible now) got "enhanced" to look more visible and crisp perhaps? Either way I think it looked way better pre-Frostbite, even if it wasn't super realistic.

The nets? Yes they have been more crisp since frostbite for 4k I guess?

But the balls? Oh no they look like testicles now. The last gen FiFA 18 still has correct ball size.

Yes, maybe crisp is wrong word. They are super smooth now, true. I had visibility in mind. On last gen engine they looked more bold and defined, even "cage-like", now they seem a little bit too transparent, but maybe it differs depending on stadium/texture/lighting settings and probably I'm just nitpicking too much.
